ITU-T G.798 (2012)/Amd.1 (05/2014) FOREWORD The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is the United Nations specialized agency in the field of telecommunications, information and co

    15、mmunication technologies (ICTs). The ITU Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) is a permanent organ of ITU. ITU-T is responsible for studying technical, operating and tariff questions and issuing Recommendations on them with a view to standardizing telecommunications on a worldwide basis.

    16、 The World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly (WTSA), which meets every four years, establishes the topics for study by the ITU-T study groups which, in turn, produce Recommendations on these topics. The approval of ITU-T Recommendations is covered by the procedure laid down in WTSA Resoluti

    17、on 1. In some areas of information technology which fall within ITU-Ts purview, the necessary standards are prepared on a collaborative basis with ISO and IEC. NOTE In this Recommendation, the expression “Administration“ is used for conciseness to indicate both a telecommunication administration and

The modulation scheme and optical parameters (e.g., operating wavelength) depend on t

    32、oad (PLD) signal by means of a defined modulation scheme. The modulation scheme and optical parameters for the individual channels (e.g., central frequency) depend on the specific interface type. This process is used for the generation of a coloured optical signal. Optical carrier demodulation (DMod

    33、): This process demodulates the payload signal (PLD) signal from the optical carrier. The modulation scheme depends on the specific interface type. This process is used for the termination of coloured and non-coloured optical signal. Optical multiplexing (OM): This process performs optical channel m

Optical demultiplexing and wavelength selection (ODM/WS): This process performs the optical channel demultiplexing and provides access to the individual wavelength signals.
