    9、n ITU-T G.729.1 contains the details of several problems that have been identified recently in the C-code of the main body of Recommendation ITU-T G.729.1, and of its Annexes B, C and D. Corrigendum 1 does not introduce any changes to the text description of ITU-T G.729.1 (including Annexes A, B, C

    10、and D). Corrigendum 1 revises the source code to Release 1.5, which is found in the electronic attachment. The attachment incorporates the ANSI C source code for the main body of ITU-T G.729.1, Annex B, Annex C and Annex D (including updated test vectors for Annex C) and all approved corrections til

    11、l 29 September 2009. Source Corrigendum 1 to Recommendation ITU-T G.729.1 (2006) was approved on 29 August 2009 by ITU-T Study Group 16 (2009-2012) under Recommendation ITU-T A.8 procedures. ii Rec. ITU-T G.729.1 (2006)/Cor.1 (08/2009) FOREWORD The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is the

    12、United Nations specialized agency in the field of telecommunications, information and communication technologies (ICTs). The ITU Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) is a permanent organ of ITU. ITU-T is responsible for studying technical, operating and tariff questions and issuing Recom

    13、mendations on them with a view to standardizing telecommunications on a worldwide basis. The World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly (WTSA), which meets every four years, establishes the topics for study by the ITU-T study groups which, in turn, produce Recommendations on these topics. The

    14、approval of ITU-T Recommendations is covered by the procedure laid down in WTSA Resolution 1. In some areas of information technology which fall within ITU-Ts purview, the necessary standards are prepared on a collaborative basis with ISO and IEC. NOTE In this Recommendation, the expression “Adminis

    15、tration“ is used for conciseness to indicate both a telecommunication administration and a recognized operating agency. Compliance with this Recommendation is voluntary. However, the Recommendation may contain certain mandatory provisions (to ensure e.g., interoperability or applicability) and compl

    16、iance with the Recommendation is achieved when all of these mandatory provisions are met. The words “shall“ or some other obligatory language such as “must“ and the negative equivalents are used to express requirements. The use of such words does not suggest that compliance with the Recommendation i

    22、problems that have been identified and the source code corrections which have been included to address these. Corrigendum 1 does not introduce any changes to the text description of ITU-T G.729.1 (including Annexes A, B, C and D). The text below is organized into clauses for each of the affected fil

    23、es and the details of the corrections and is provided as assistance to the reader in understanding the modifications introduced. It should be noted that, since the C code of ITU-T G.729.1 takes precedence over the text description, the definitive source of information is the ANSI C source code found

    24、 in the electronic attachment to this corrigendum. Corrigendum 1 revises the source code to Release 1.5. 2 Details of the C-code changes 2.1 Corrections to G.729.1 main body A problem in case of low delay mode at 14 kbit/s in presence of frame erasures has been reported. It was identified that the p

    25、roblem is due to the usage of the local array BfAq prior to its initialization in some specific conditions (low delay mode at 14 kbit/s, one single erased frame). The problem causes the algorithm to wrongly reset the counter (decstat-c

    39、ount_rcv_dtx) to perform a smooth narrowband to wideband transition during the DTX/CNG mode for some cases.
