This standard specifies the test method for evaluating the impact-saline solution effect on the adhesive properties of organic coatings under specified conditions. 1.2 Applicability. This standard applies to the organic coatings on the parts subject to dam

    9、nsions of (2505) mm (1005) mm (10.2) mm. Should size and shape of the finished part be impracticable, then suitable flat sections of 25 cm2 minimum shall be used instead. 3.2.2 When procedure to 3.2.1 is impracticable, tests shall be conducted on specially prepared organic coated test panels or slab

    10、s. 3.2.2.1 Size of Test Pieces. (2505) mm (1005) mm (10.2) mm. 3.2.2.2 Substrate. Metal substrate to EDS-M-1101. 3.2.2.3 Organic coating test piece shall be made in accordance to the dimensions of 3.2.2.1 and 3.2.2.2. 4 Procedures 4.1 Conditioning. Test pieces shall be tested immediately after condi

    11、tioning to the conditions below. 4.1.1 The Oven Drying of Organic Coatings. 24 ) 30 hours after coating and baking. 4.1.2 The Air Drying of Organic Coatings. 72 ) 96 hours after coating and baking. 4.1.3 Components Received from the Supplier. Test without conditioning as received. 4.2 Conditions. 4.

    12、2.1 Test Conditions. Deviations from the requirements of this standard shall have been agreed upon. Such requirements shall be specified on component drawings, test certificates, reports, etc. 4.3 Instructions. 4.3.1 The test piece shall be clamped into position on the impact apparatus in such a man

    13、ner that the test surface shall be exposed to the impacting source by clause 3.1.2. 4.3.2 The main air valve shall be adjusted to give an air pressure of (40.5) bar. 4.3.3 The impact shot of 500g shall be loaded into the receiving funnel so that it shall be whirled into the air stream and impacted o

    14、nto the test area. 4.3.4 After test, the test pieces shall be vertically placed, spaced at least 4 cm apart, in the beaker and then 5 % saline solution shall be added to the beaker sufficient in volume to cover 7/8 of the impacted area. 4.3.5 The beaker containing test pieces shall be conditioned in

    18、 the procedure of clauses 4.3.1 to 4.3.2. 4.3.8 A strip of adhesive tape shall be placed onto the coated surface covering the impacted area completely and then pressure shall be applied to the tape to completely remove creases and air bubbles. 5 Data 5.1 Evaluation.
