It is Superceded for all future projects and replaced by GMW3172. 1. PURPOSE This standard aims at specifying the pr

    3、ocedures of testing whether slow blow tubes used for vehicles manufactured by GMDAT are appropriate. 2. SCOPE This standard applies to test for checking appropriateness of slow blow tubes at new car development or at engineering change of the fuse for production vehicles. 3. TEST EQUIPMENT 3.1. Powe

    4、r supply - DC 24V/200A 3.2. Oscilloscope 3.3. Recorder 3.4. Electric load 3.5. Digital multimeter 3.6. Tension tester 3.7. Thermostatic chamber 3.8. Composite environment chamber 3.9. Slide calipers, project 3.10. Vibration equipment 4. TEST ITEM 4.1. Basic performance test 4.1.1. Appearance inspect

    5、ion (1) Test method: Inspect visually or by feel under luminous intensity of at least 300LX (2) Evaluation standard: The sample shall show no signs of flaw, breakage, burr, rust, etc. that mars appearance and functions. (2) Evaluation standard: The element fusing part shall be clearly seen through the cover. 4.1.3. Terminal insertion/removal force t

    7、est (1) Test method 1) While applying a force perpendicularly to each terminal, insert/remove the fuse into/from the measuring instrument. 2) Apply the force at a constant speed of 50 150mm/min. (2) Evaluation standard 1) Insertion force of the () terminal for connection into the mating (+) terminal

    8、 shall be 4.5Kgf. 2) The detachment force shall be 1 2.5 Kgf. 4.1.4. Cover detachment strength test (1) Test method 1) With the housing fixed, apply a tensile force to the cover. 2) Apply the force at a constant speed of 50 150mm/min (2) Evaluation standard: The tensile detachment strength of the co

    9、ver from the housing shall be a minimum of 1Kgf. 4.1.5. Lens breaking strength test (1) Test method 1) With the housing fixed, apply a perpendicular force to each terminal from below. 2) Apply the force at a constant speed of 50 150mm/min (2) Evaluation standard: The breaking strength of the element

    10、 and housing lens shall be a minimum of 6Kgf. 4.1.6. Impact strength test (1) Test method: Drop the sample from a height of 1m onto the concrete floor. (2) Evaluation standard: The sample shall show no signs of bending of the terminal and damage or breakage of the housing that mars functions. 4.1.7.

    11、 Breaking strength test (1) Test method: Apply a compressive force to the upper and lower ends of the fuse. (2) Evaluation standard: The insertion breaking strength of the fuse shall be a minimum of 20Kgf. 4.1.8. Heat resistance test (1) Test method: Expose the sample to the ambient temperature of 1

    12、20 for 100 hours. (2) Evaluation standard: The sample shall show no signs of defects, such as corrosion, breakage and deformation, which mar functions. 4.1.9. Oil resistance test (1) Test method: After applyin

    14、g engine oil and antifreeze to the sample, expose it to the ambient temperature of 120 for 24 hours. (2) Evaluation standard: The sample shall show no signs of defects, such as corrosion, breakage and deformation, which mar functions. 4.1.11. Indication inspection (1) Test method: Inspect visually u

    15、nder luminous intensity of at least 300LX. (2) Evaluation standard: Indication of the rated current and reading shall be clear to avoid misunderstanding. 4.2. Electric performance, environmental, durability test 4.2.1. Voltage drop (1) Test method: After having the current equivalent to 50%, 70%, an

    16、d 100% of the rated current flow through the fuse for 15minutes, measure the voltage drop between fuse terminals at the measuring points shown in the attached sketch #2. (2) Evaluation standard Transmission rate Maximum voltage drop 50% 100mV 70% 150mV 100% 250mV 4.2.2. Fusing performance test (1) T

    17、est method: By having the rated current flow through the fuse, measure the time from start of flow to fusing. Measure the insulation resistance after fusing 1 minute after fusing with a 500V insulation resistance meter. (2) Evaluation standard 1) When the current equivalent to 110% of the rated curr

    18、ent flows through it, the fuse shall not blow within 100 hours. 2) When the current equivalent to 135% of the rated current flows through it, the fuse shall blow within 60 1800 seconds. 3) When the current equivalent to 200% of the rated current flows through it, the fuse shall blow within 2 60 seco

    19、nds. 4) When the current equivalent to 355% of the rated current flows through it, the fuse shall blow within 0.2 7 seconds. 5) When the current equivalent to 600% of the rated current flows through it, the fuse shall blow within 0.04 1 second. 6) After fusing of the fuse according to 2) 5), the ins

    21、hod: After having the current equivalent to 50% and 70% of the rated current flow through the fuse for 20 minutes, measure the temperature rise at the measuring point of fuse terminals shown in the attached sketch #2.     22、bration durability performance (1) Test method: After placing the fuse onto the vibration test stand and fixing the advancement range to 1.5mm, apply vibration in 3 mutually perpendicular directions for 2 hours respectively to make a total of 6 hours by changing the frequency between 10Hz55Hz evenly

    23、 with sweeping time of 1 minute. (2) Evaluation standard: During and after test, the sample shall show no signs of abnormalities, such as loosening and breakage, and after test meet the requirements in 4.2.2. 4.2.5. Current ON/OFF durability performance test (1) Test method: With the current equival

    24、ent to 50% of the rated current ON for 5 minutes and OFF for 10 minutes to the fuse as a cycle, perform a total of 10,000cycles. (2) Evaluation standard: During and after test, the sample shall show no signs of abnormalities, such as breakage and fusing. 4.2.6. Over-current durability performance (1

    25、) Test method: Perform 20,000cycles of ON/OFF of excessive current to the fuse as shown in Fig 1. (2) Evaluation standard: During and after test, the sample shall show no signs of abnormalities, such as breakage and fusing, and after test meet the requirements in 4.2.2. 4.2.7. (2) Evaluati

    27、on standard: During and after test, the sample shall show no signs of abnormalities, such as breakage and fusing, and after test meet the requirements in 4.2.2. 4.2.8. Thermal impact resistance test (1) Test method: With the exposure of the fuse to ambient temperature of - 40 1 for 30 minutes and su

    28、bsequent exposure to 100 1 for 30 minutes as 1 cycle, perform 1,000 cycles. Change from -40 to 100 shall be carried out within 30 seconds. (2) Evaluation standard: During and after test, the sample shall show no signs of abnormalities, such as breakage and fusing, and after test meet the requirement

    29、s in 4.2.2. 4.2.9. Dust resistance test (1) Test method: The dust resistance test of the fuse shall be based on KSR 1063 Generals Rules for Dust Test of Automobile parts. The fuse shall be placed laterally on a grid (wood sticks webbed in mutually perpendicular directions). (2) Evaluation standard:

    30、During and after test, the sample shall show no signs of abnormalities, such as breakage and fusing, and after test meet the requirements in 4.2.2. 4.2.10. Temperature / humidity resistance test (1) Test method 1) With the fuse placed inside a thermostatic chamber under the following condition as 1

    31、cycle, perform 15 cycles. 2) Condition a. 1 cycle : . 16hours +801 Humidity : 95 % Min. . 2hours +401 . 2hours +1201 . 4hours +19 29 b.     32、WOO Auto & Technology (2) Evaluation standard: During and after test, the sample shall show no signs of abnormalities, such as breakage and fusing, and after test meet the requirements in 4.2.2. 4.2.11. Composite environmental performance test (1) Test method: With the fuse placed on the vibration t

    33、est stand, apply vibration at 801 with the vibrating frequency of 20Hz 200Hz, sweep time of 3 minutes and vibrating acceleration of 44.1h 4.5G and simultaneously perform 45 minutes ON and 15 minute OFF of the current equivalent to 50% of the rated current to the fuse. With this as 1 cycle, perform 3

    34、00 cycles. (2) Evaluation standard: During and after test, the sample shall show no signs of abnormalities, such as breakage and fusing, and after test meet the requirements in 4.2.2 and 4.2.3. 4.3. Instructions in test 4.3.1. The test shall be conducted under the following conditions: 4.3.2. The am

    35、bient temperature shall be 21 to 27 and there shall be no wind. If other separate conditions are set, however, these shall be y will be followed. 4.3.3. All tests shall be conducted with the fuse placed laterally. 4.3.4. For electric tests, the fuse shall be mounted on the test jig shown in the atta

    36、ched sketch #2. 4.3.5. The cable used for electric tests shall conform to KS C 3311. 4.3.6. When the test is conducted with two or more fuses connected, an interval of at least 300mm shall be provided between them and a cable of at least 1,000mm long shall be used for connection. 4.4. Supplementary

    37、provision Addition of test items or omission of unnecessary items may be determined following an agreement with the design engineer. 5.
