    3、 1. PURPOSE This standard aims at specifying the method of correctly evaluating the cassette tape player for automobiles manufactured by GMDAT. 2. SCOPE This standard applies to testing of the cassette tape player. 3. DEFINITION OF TERMS 3.1. Cassette Tape Player The cassette tape player refers to b

    4、oth the built-in type, which is attached to the audio system, and the separated type and includes the circuit of the mechanical deck or logic deck. 3.2. Test frequency The test frequency means the measurement frequency used for the function test of the cassette tape player specified in drawings or t

    5、est standards. 4. TEST CONDITIONS 4.1. Standard test condition Unless specified otherwise, test is conducted under the normal temperature and humidity condition specified in KS A006 (Test Place Standard Condition) 4.2. Standard test tape The tape used for the test shall be the standard tape specifie

    6、d in IEC-386. 5. NUMBERS OF SAMPLES Unless specified otherwise, At least 6 DVP and PVP shall be provided for test in principle. 6. TEST EQUIPMENT 6.1. Generals Measuring instruments used for test shall basically be calibrated by the national calibration institute and within the effective calibration

    7、 period. 6.2.     8、er. It shall also be able to control relative humidity at each temperature to 95% with permissible error not exceeding +2 per temperature. 6.3. Vibration tester It shall be capable of performing test to KS R 1034 (Automobile Components Vibration Test Method). 6.4. Control device for durability test

    9、It shall be capable of automatically supply and cut-off voltage for unit operation, detect defects and record the progress time and number of cycles in durability test. 7. TEST PROCEDURES 7.1. Appearance test 7.1.1. Visual test (1) Conduct visual inspection. (2) When observed visually, the unit shal

    10、l show no sign of harmful flaws, cracks, or other defects that may adversely affect the function. 7.1.2. Dimension test Specified samples based on KS B 5203 (Vernier calipers) shall be used. Samples shall meet material requirements of the deign specifications and dimensional requirements in drawings

    11、. 7.2. General performance 7.2.1. Wow and flutter (1) Measure the component of the unbalanced rotation occurring in the rotational transmission path, such as the motor, flywheel and belt, which is included in the electric output. (2) The test is performed using the standard tape TEAC MTT211 or MTT11

    12、1. Unless specified otherwise in drawings, the measurement temperature and requirements for the test sample shall be as shown in Table 1. Also, each measured value shall stay within 20% of the average of the entire measured values. Table 1. Requirements for wow & flutter Measurement temperature Requ

Access Time (1) This test is performed using the fast forward and rewind functions with a C60 tape (90m). (2) Fast forward and rewind shall be completed within 100 seconds. 7

    16、.2.4. Frequency response (1) The cassette tape player shall be played at the standard speed of 4.76Y /s, 315 / 250 n /m and rated output of 2W. (2) The standard tape for test shall be TEAC MTT256U(EQ 120k ) and MTT356U(EQ 70k ) and the test shall be performed with the Dolby NR OFF. (3) The measured

    17、frequency response shall be within the range in Table 3. Table 3. Requirements for frequency response 7.2.5. Signal to noise ratio (1) The cassette tape player shall be played at the standard speed of 4.76Y /s, 315 / 250 n /m and rated output of 2W. (2) The standard tape for test shall be TEAC MTT21

    18、2N and the test shall be performed separately with the Dolby NR ON and OFF. (3) The measured value shall be within the range in Table 4. Table 4. Operation temperature test 7.3.1. High temperature operation (1) Set the temperature inside the temperature cabinet to the

    20、level specified in the drawing or test standard. Unless specified otherwise, set it to +80. (2) Once the temperature inside the temperature cabinet reaches the test temperature, store the test sample inside the cabinet. The storage time starts from the moment the surface temperature of the test samp

    21、le reaches the test temperature. (It may start after elapse of 5 minutes from exposure of the test sample.) (3) Continuously operate the test sample for 4 hours with a normal music tape at a rated output of 2W. (4) After exposure of the tested sample to the normal temperature for 2 hours under the n

    22、o-load conditions, the measured values from clause 7.2.1 to 7.2.5 shall not deviate from the initial values by more than 5%. 7.3.2. Low temperature operation (1) Set the temperature inside the temperature cabinet to the level specified in the drawing or test standard. Unless specified otherwise, set

    23、 it to -20. (2) Once the temperature inside the temperature cabinet reaches the test temperature, store the test sample inside the cabinet. The storage time starts from the moment the surface temperature of the test sample reaches the test temperature. (It may start after elapse of 5 minutes from ex

    24、posure of the test sample.) (3) Continuously operate the test sample for 70 hours with a normal music tape at a rated output of 2W. (4) After exposure of the tested sample to the normal temperature for 2 hours under the no-load conditions, the measured values from clause 7.2.1 to 7.2.5 shall not dev

    25、iate from the initial values by more than 5%. 7.3.3. High temperature high humidity operation (1) Set the temperature and humidity inside the thermostatic chamber to the level specified in the drawing or test standard. Unless specified otherwise, set it to +40 and 95%. (2) Once the temperature and h

    26、umidity inside the thermostatic chamber reaches the test temperature and humidity, store the test sample inside the thermostatic chamber. (3) The storage time starts from the moment the surface temperature and humidity of the test sample reaches the test temperature and humidity. (It may start after

    27、 elapse of 5 minutes from exposure of the test sample.) (4) Continuously operate the test sample for 8 hours with a normal music tape at a rated output of 2W. (5) After exposure of the tested sample to the normal temperature for 2 hours under the no-load conditions, the measured values from clause 7

    28、.2.1 to 7.2.5 shall not deviate from the initial values by more than 5%. 7.4. Temperature exposure test 7.4.1. High temperature exposure test (1) Set the temperature inside the temperature cabinet to the level specified in the drawing or test standard. Unless specified otherwise, set it to +85. (2)

    29、Once the temperature inside the temperature cabinet reaches the test temperature, store the test sample inside the cabinet under the no-load conditions.     31、sure of the tested sample to the normal temperature and humidity for 2 hours under the no-load conditions, the measured values from clause 7.2.1 to 7.2.5 shall not deviate from the initial values by more than 5% 7.4.2. High temperature exposure test (1) Set the temperature inside the temperature cab

    32、inet to the level specified in the drawing or test standard. Unless specified otherwise, set it to -40 (2) Once the temperature inside the temperature cabinet reaches the test temperature, store the test sample inside the cabinet under the no-load conditions (3) The storage time starts from the mome

    33、nt the surface temperature of the test sample reaches the test temperature. (It may start after elapse of 5 minutes from exposure of the test sample.) (4) Leave the test sample inside the temperature cabinet for 48 hours. (5) After exposure of the tested sample to the normal temperature and humidity

    34、 for 2 hours under the no-load conditions, the measured values from clause 7.2.1 to 7.2.5 shall not deviate from the initial values by more than 5%. 7.5. Thermal shock test 7.5.1. Arrange 2 sets of the temperature cabinet and set the temperature to -40 and +85 respectively. 7.5.2. With the exposure

    35、to temperature cabinet A (set to -40) for 30 minutes and to temperature cabinet B (set to +85) for 30 minutes as 1 cycle, perform a total of 500 cycles. The moving time shall not be longer than 1 minute. 7.5.3. Leave the test sample under the no-load conditions with ignition power supplied. 7.5.4. D

    36、uring test, after the test temperature is reached, there shall be no heat generation or outbreak of fire when the connector is connected. After exposure of the tested sample to the normal temperature and humidity for 2 hours, the measured values from clause 7.2.1 to 7.2.5 shall not deviate from the

    37、initial values by more than 5%. 7.6. Durability test 7.6.1. Functional durability (1) This test is performed using all related function switches of the cassette tape player. The recommended operating time for each function is about 10 seconds. (2) With no operation for 30 seconds after completing op

    38、eration of each function switch as 1 cycle, repeat a total of 5000 cycles. The sample shall show no signs of malfunction. 7.6.2. Continuous replay life test (1) This test is conducted with a C60 test tape. For each of sides A and B of the cassette tape player head, continuously play back 500 times a

    39、t a rated output of 2W.     40、 initial values by more than 5%. (3) With no operation for 30 seconds after completing playback of side A for 60 seconds at a rated output of 2W as 1 cycle, repeat a total of 5000 cycles. The sample shall show no signs of malfunction. 7.7. Vibration test 7.7.1. This test is performed with the sample

    41、 fixed to the vibration tester under the no-load and vehicle conditions. 7.7.2. Vibration is applied at 3.2G (rms) according to Table 5. The sample shall be fixed to the vibration tester in the vehicle conditions. 7.7.3. Vibration is applied for 2 hours. During vibration, there shall occur no perfor

    42、mance drop and rattle noise by component separation, or abnormal noise by resonance. Unless specified otherwise, the performance level shall not drop from the initial performance level by more than 20%. Table 5. Vibration test conditions 7.8. Drop test This test is conducted on a concrete floor. Dro

    43、p a packed sample onto the concrete floor from a height of 1 m 3 times respectively for each of corner, right/left and front/back sides.
