It is Superceded for all future projects and replaced by GMW3431&14863. 1. PURPOSE Purpose of this specification is to determine the function te

    3、st and endurance test condition of switches to be installed in the car (pull-, rotary-, tumbler- and rocker type-switches) except the switches concentrated in the signal scanner: to here apply the tech. delivery conditions EDS-T-5217. The construction of the switches must be so executed that it migh

    4、t satisfy the safety regulations which are sometimes valid. 2. QUANTITY OF THE TEST SAMPLE For sampling and release test to this specification is to supply min. 10 pieces continuously numbered switch in combination with a manufacturing certificate to DIN 50049. It is expected that among the submitte

    5、d test specimens the data of all the required characteristic magnitudes display the range of tolerance of production litter gauge. If this premise about the test specimen is not satisfied, the tolerance range of the production litter gauge for all the required characteristic magnitude must be inform

    6、ed in the manufacturing certificate, regardless of the independent measurement result. 3. QUALITY CONTROL For the control of the production quality and the satisfaction of this test specification is the department QA responsible. 4. APPROVAL THROUGH THE DWMC TECHNICAL CENTER The switches which are s

    7、upplied for the mounting in the production must correspond the released sample parts in every respect. Every change against the release samples requires the approval of the GMDAT Technical Center. 5. MATERIAL All the materials which are used for the switch must correspond the drawing specification a

    8、nd also the statements in the releases. the adhesive- or lubricant agent which is used as montage assistance or contact grease for switch erection may not touch or destroy the component parts of switches. No more grease should not used than it is necessary for a sufficient lubricating during the lif

    9、e of switches to avoid fat coal forming, contact fouling and contact arching. The material for the switch contacts must be so chosen that at the required electric contact stress not a malfunction occur. 6. TEST INSTRUMENT 6.1. Test equipment for function test of the single switches and for inquiry o

Adjustable source of direct current to 50A capacitive. 6.3. Ammeter for the area which correspond the curren

    11、t load for the independent switch (max defect 0.5%) 6.4. Voltmeter for the ranges from 0 to 150mV, from 0 to 750mV and 3V to 15V (max defect 0.5%), internal resistance 1k0hm/V 6.5. Dynamometer for linear manipulating alignment with measuring range to 10N, 25N and 50N (max defect 2%) 6.6. Torsion mea

    12、suring device with a measuring range to 20Ncm (max defect 2%) 6.7. Hydraulic pumps for checking of the thickness. 6.8. Recirculated air temperature cabinet with a test room of 15 1 and 30 1, temperature range -403K to +902.5K. 6.9. Klima cabinet with recirculated air, 30 1 min test room, temperature

    13、 +402.5K, air moisture (953)% relative. 6.10. Volt stabilizer for current supply of the fatigue test condition for a voltage of 13V. 6.11. Testing chamber to EDS-T-7143 for accomplishing corrosion test. 6.12. Electrodynamics oscillating table for accomplishing vibratory test 6.13. Measuring instrume

    14、nt for measuring surface temperature of synthetics. 7. INDICATION The switches must be indicated on suitable position well legibly and durably by the manufacturer sign, the GMDAT trade mark according to EDS-A-0040 the part-No. the productive period (monthly) according to EDS-A-0012 and on synthetic

    15、parts the material abbreviation according to EDS-M-0101. Besides the attaching plug must be indicated corresponding to the drawing specification. 8. TESTS 8.1. Visual-and measuring test 8.1.1. The switches may not have a defect or damage, like for example fissures or burrs which may impair the funct

    16、ion or the appearance. 8.1.2. The dimensions determined in the drawings or releases and their tolerance must be satisfied by the switches.     17、mountable, fixed solid and demountable in the installment opening. Switch button-level and - press key may not rasp at driving shocks, imitated by percussing of switches with hand. Foe tumbler switches must the massive tolerance of the switch press key and of the case opening be so reconciled that n

    18、ot an additional exit of light except for the symbolic illumination might follow. 8.2. Function test 8.2.1. Operating force test The force shall be measured up to the stop position specified in the drawing. During the test, sudden excessive force shall not be exerted, and while applying the force sl

    19、owly, the specified values in the drawing shall be met. 8.2.2. Voltage drop test After applying test voltage to check to see if the specified load current flows, measure the voltage drop between the input terminal and output terminal. The specified values in the drawing shall be met. 8.2.3. For orig

    20、inal functions of a switch, the specified values in the drawing shall be satisfied. 8.3. Temperature Operation test Test the switch operating value in the drawing at 235K and keep it as it is. A multiple switch shall stop in a complete position, not in a central position, and mechanical and electric

    21、al function of a switch shall be tested at the following temperatures : After placing at -403K for 24 hours and test at -403K. After placing at +802.5K for 24 hours and test at +802.5K. After placing at +902.5K for 1 hours and test at +235K. After the test, there shall be no changes in the switch ap

    22、pearance and the conditions of 8.2.1 shall be met. 8.4. Temperature resistance test After placing a switch at the temperatures of clause 8.3 and test it at 235K. After the test, there shall be no changes in the switch appearance and the conditions of 8.2 shall be met. 8.5. Humidity resistance test A

    23、 switch shall be kept durable after placing it at 402.5K, 953% for 48 hours. After the test, there shall be no changes in the switch appearance and the conditions of 8.2 shall be met. 8.6. Endurance test Mount a switch on a endurance testing instrument at the room temperature and humidity, and apply

    24、 the load and voltage specified in the drawing. After the test, there shall be no changes in the switch appearance and the conditions of 8.2 shall be met.     25、st After mounting a switch on a vibration table in a vehicle condition and applying a sine vibration which is applied in three directions at frequency 1050 Hz, amplitude0.5 mm(10 Hz-0.2g, 50 Hz-5g) of frequency vibration of 1 octave/min, the switch shall be kept operable and test, there shall be no

    26、changes in the switch appearance. The 3-directional vibration test time is 15 minutes each. 8.8. Corrosion test If the following requirements shall be followed, salt spray test shall be conducted on the switch installed on the outside of a vehicle at a setting voltage according to EDS-T-7143. : Afte

    27、r 72 hours, there shall be no visible rust on its surface(72 hours - grade 2). After 144 hours, the conditions of 8.2 shall be satisfied. 9. EVALUATION All test switches shall satisfy requirements specified for each test. During and after the endurance test, there shall be no malfunction found which

    28、 can decrease its usability and can cause problems. When a switch is broken initially during the endurance test, another 10 switches shall be tested again. In case of components for which the corrosion test is not conducted, tests shall be carried out with 10 switches. If a inferior switch is found

    29、in one test item, the switch shall be improved and tested again from its initial function, and a test item to be retested can be choosed based on the contents of the test item in which a inferior switch is found.
