    2、GM DAEWOO Auto & Technology 1. PURPOSE This specification measures service life of modulator. 2. SCOPE This specification specifies modulator of auto transmission for passenger car. 3. EQUIPMENT 3.1. Test stand (see diagrammatic sketch on sheet 3 3.2. Timing relays 3.3. Three-way magnetic valve 3.4.

    3、 Rapid air-escape valve 3.5. Oil heating rod 3 KW 3.6. Pressure-relief valve 3.7. Manometer with stop valve 3.8. Contact telethermometer 3.9. Impulse counter 3.10. Silencer 3.11. Needle valves 4. TEST PROCEDURE 4.1. Before the modulators are tested on the test stand record its characteristic (adjust

    4、ing power for various under pressures). After the modulator assembly onto the test stand fill its oil reservoir with the Automatic-Transmission-Fluid. Take care that the oil which expands with increasing temperature is in the middle of the upper sight glass when the required test oil temperature of

    5、121 is reached at the diaphragm. 4.2. For stressing the diaphragm the oil reservoir is loaded 80 times per minute with an atmospheric pressure of 15 PSI (1.035 bar positive pressure). The compressed air is regulated by a pressure-relief valve so as to cause an increase of the oil tank pressure from

    6、0 to the mentioned 15 PSI during the opening period of the magnetic valve. As the air volume above the oil level decreases as a result of the heating of the oil which leads to an expansion, re-adjust the pressure-relief valve until reaching the test oil temperature. The “negative pressure side“ of the modulator is connected with a closed expansion chamber of approx. 200 cm3 in which 10 cm3 super fuel is filled daily. This expansion chamber is protect

    8、ed with a needle valve which opens at approx. 0.05 bar positive pressure because otherwise an undesired positive pressure would arise after filling in and heating the fuel. 5. BOGY 5.1. Running period per day: 8 10 hours (4,300 load cycles/h) 5.2. Theoretical load cycles: 2,300,000(48 60 days) 5.3. After termination of the durability test record the modulator characteristic.
