SCOPE This standard specifies the zinc-coated low carbon steel wires used by GM DAEWOO Auto & Technology Company (hereinafter referred to as the “GMDAT“). 2. Manufacturing method 2.1. Zinc coated steel wire (S) is produced by melt zinc coating or electric

    3、zinc coating the cold processed and annealed material (EDS-M-1504 : soft steel wire rod). For wire diameter of under 0.7mm of SWMGS-1, SWMGS-2, it can be manufactured by extending the wire after coating. 2.2. Zinc coated steel wire (H) is produced by melt zinc coating or electric zinc coating the co

    4、ld processed material (EDS-M-1504 : soft steel wire rod). However, if required, annealing during cold processing is acceptable. Also, if required by the purchaser, the wire can be re-extended. 3. TYPE AND USE (REFERENCE) The wires are divided into zinc coated steel wire (S) and zinc coated steel wir

    5、e (H). Then, divided into type 17 and type 14 respectively according to zinc attached quantity. Torsional characteristics Torsional characteristics of the wire are tested by clause 6.2 and 6.4 and shall not be destroyed until it reaches the

Surface condition Surface shall be clean and any inner/outer harm that affects the manufacturing process or function of the product is not acceptable. 6. TEST 6.1. All tests shall be performed at 23 5. 6.2. Test piece sampling method Sample one test pi

    25、ece at one end of the wire 6.3. Tensile test Tensile test complies with regulation of EDS-T-7113 Tensile test method for metal material. Test piece 9B shall be used. In case the test piece breaks at the gripping portion, nullify the test and renew the test with another sample taken from the same wir

    26、e. 6.4. Torsional test Clamp both ends of the test piece firmly with the gripping interval according to table 3. Then twist one end until specified number while stretching the test piece just hard enough to keep it taut. If the test piece breaks during the test just below the clamp and the break is

    27、because of unreasonable test method, nullify the test and repeat the test by taking the sample from the same coil. However, the test sample shall be straightened by using the tools and shall be about 200-300mm in length. 6.5. Winding test Cylinder diameter for winding test shall comply with table 8,

    28、 and number of winding shall be not less than 6. However, if there is agreement between the deliverer/accepter, cylinder with smaller diameter than the diameter mentioned in table 8 can be used. - Table 8.
