    2、EATING, CONDUCTIVE, ETFE INNER VENEER LINER/AEM COVER 1. SCOPE This specification defines a conductive, non-reinforced synthetic rubber hose for use as liquid carrying fuel hose. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for hoses used for liquid carrying fuel hose. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3

    3、.1 APPROVED SOURCES This specification requires the use of approved sources. Only the sources identified on the Ford Approved Source List (ASL) can be used when this specification is listed on the drawing, CAD file, or other documents. The list of approved sources is located within Ford at or avail

    4、able externally through a Ford Materials Engineer. 3.2 CONDITIONING AND TEST CONDITIONS All test values are based on material conditioned for not less than 24 h prior to testing in a controlled environment of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5% relative humidity. Testing of the material should occur in the con

    5、ditioning environment or soon after removal. 3.3 INFRARED SPECTROPHOTOMETRY AND/OR THERMAL ANALYSIS IR spectra and thermograms from initial material approval shall constitute the reference standard and shall be kept on file at the designated material laboratory. The material supplier shall ensure th

    6、at all future material supplied to the specification shall produce IR spectra and thermograms that correspond to the reference standard when tested under the same conditions. 3.4 INITIAL QUALIFICATION Suppliers seeking approval to this specification must meet the initial qualification processes that

    7、 include evaluating materials and constructions according to the applicable Fuel System Design Specification (SDS) and individual Design Verification Methods (DVM). 3.5 LIMITATIONS Vapor lines can be either conductive or non-conductive. Liquid caring lines must be conductive. This material does not

    8、contain UV stabilizers, long term exposure to direct sunlight will cause cracking. All components exposed to direct sunlight must contain UV stabilizers.     9、nsist of a smooth bore ETFE (ethylene tetrafluoro-ethylene) inner veneer, acting as a fuel barrier and an outer cover of ethylene/acrylic rubber (AEM). 3.7 ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Requirements beyond those explicitly stated in this document and the material specification may be specified on the Engi

    10、neering drawing, Engineering specification (ES), performance specification, System Design Specification (SDS) and/or Attribute Requirement List (ARL). 3.8 PERFORMANCE CRITERIA Materials approved to this specification must also be approved to the fuel system polymeric materials performance standard:

On preform

    15、ed parts, the vacuum collapse test shall be performed on the finished part. No diameter shall decrease by more than 20 % during the application of vacuum for a minimum of 15 seconds and not more than 60 seconds. The color shall be determined between Purchasing and the supplier. The word gas/fuel and the cod

    18、ing described below shall appear on the outer cover of the hose in contrasting color and repeated at intervals of 60 mm or less. Mandrel cured hose may be coded once per part. No space between letters. Mandatory on hoses longer than 80 mm only. c) Ford trademark on hoses longer than 150 mm

    20、. d) All of the above printing shall be clearly and legibly printed letters of 4.5 - 6 mm in height and width. When hose is less than 80 mm long, width of letters may be reduced to 3 mm. The following code format is recommended, but not mandatory: G 2 01 Where: G = Plant Designation 2 = Year (single

    21、 digit) 01 = Week (2-digit number) 3.9 PERFORMANCE CRITERIA REPORT ONLY Materials approved to this specification must also be approved to the fuel system polymeric materials performance standard: WSS-M98P14-A2 Veneer/Barrier Cover 3.9.1 Hardness International N/R Report (ISO 48/ASTM D1415, micro) 3.

    22、9.2 Original Breaking Strength and elongation at Break (Entire Hose Construction, 50 mm/minute) Test Method: Record the I.D. and O.D. of a 150 mm straight length of hose and clamp the hose on suitable fittings in a tensile testing machine to prevent pull-off. Apply gage marks or extensometers to the

    23、 hose to measure elongation. Apply a load at a rate of 50 mm/minute until the hose ruptures. Record the force to break the hose and the elongation of the hose at break. Calculate the hose breaking strength by dividing the breaking force by the annular cross-sectional area of the hose wall. Median va

ENGINEERING MATERIAL SPECIFICATION WSS-M96D33-A7 Copyright 2017, Ford Global Technologies, LLC Page 5 of 6 4.1 APPROVAL OF MATERIALS Suppliers desiring approval of their materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from Purchasing, Design or Product Develo

    26、pment, and Materials Engineering. The supplier shall submit a completed copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by a qualified and authorized representative of the test facility, demonstrating full compliance with all the requirements of the Material Specification. Tested material samples must

    27、 be available for review upon request and kept for a minimum of one year. Upon request, the supplier will review the associated quality control documents (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Control Plans, Certification testing) with Ford. 4.2 SUPPLIERS ONGOING RESPONSIBILITY All materials mu

    28、st be equivalent in all characteristics to the material upon which approval was originally granted. Prior to making any changes to the material originally approved, whether or not such changes affect the materials ability to meet the specification requirements, the supplier shall notify the affected

    29、 Supplier Technical Assistance (STA), Purchasing, and Materials Engineering activities of the proposed changes (with reasons) by submission of a completed Suppliers Request for Engineering Approval, SREA. For parts and components using Ford Engineering Material Specifications, all samples tested to

    30、the specifications for Design Verification (DV), Production Verification (PV) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) sign off must be kept until Job 1. 4.3 RESTRICTED SUBSTANCE MANAGEMENT STANDARD Substance restrictions imposed by regulations or Company direction applies to the materials addres

    31、sed by this document. The restrictions are identified in the Restricted Substance Management Standard WSS-M99P9999-A1 which is updated yearly. It is the suppliers responsibility to comply with this standard on a continuing basis through IMDS and or GMAP reporting. 4.4 GENERIC IDENTIFICATION AND MARK
