    2、AMLESS INSTRUMENT PANEL 1. SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a dry blended, slush molded polyvinyl chloride or polyvinyl chloride alloy skin that is UV stabilized, heat stabilized, and has excellent low temperature ductility used for soft doors or seamless instrument panels. 2. APP

    3、LICATION This specification was released originally to be used as a flexible molded skin for the seamless instrument panel over foam and plastic substrate for the 2010 Fusion/Milan/MKZ. 2.1 LIMITATIONS If the plastic substrate is an olefin based material, the substrate must be pretreated with either

    4、 adhesion promoter, flame, or plasma treatment and no slip agent should be present unless validated with the slip agent. If the plastic substrate is a styrenic based material, the PVC should not come in direct contact with the substrate or chemical compatibility testing must be performed. No topcoat

    5、 is required, but may be painted for two-tone applications and must be tested to WSS-M2P188-A1. 3. REQUIREMENTS This material must also meet the requirements in WSS-M15P45-B and also WSS-M2P188-A1 if painted. The final assembly must meet the IP and PAB SDS requirements for each new vehicle program.

    6、3.1 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.2 TEST SPECIMEN 3.2.1 Preparation of Test Specimens Unless otherwise specified, all tests shall be carried out on s

    8、 Strength at Max Load, min 8.0 MPa (ISO 37, Type 1, 500 mm/minute test speed) 3.2.4.1 Elongation at Break, min 300% (Test Method according to para 3.2.4) 3.2.5 Cold Flexibility at -40 C No cracks (180 bend over a 20 +/- 1 mm diameter mandrel, sample size 50 x 150 +/- mm) 3.2.6 Tear Strength, min 30

    9、kN/m (ISO 34, Method B, Procedure A, 50 mm/minute test speed.) 3.2.7 Heat Aging Performance (ISO 188, except 150 +/- 50 air changes/h, 1000 h at 120 C, unaged property values shall be determined at the time of the aged properties determination) 3.2.7.1 Tensile Strength Change, max. -25% 3.2.7.2 Elon

    10、gation at Break, Change from Original Value, max -50% (100% absolute elongation minimum) 3.3 FOGGING (SAE J1756, 3 h at 100 C heating, 21 C cooling plate, post test conditioning 16 h) Fog Number, min 70 Formation of clear film, droplets or crystals is cause for rejection. 3.4 FLAMMABILITY (ISO 3795)

    11、 Burn Rate, max 100 mm/minute The specimen size required for material approval is approximately 355 x 100 x extruded coverstock thickness not to exceed 13 mm. The thickness must be documented on the report. 3.5 ODOR, max Rating 3 (FLTM BO 131-03) 3.6 WEATHERING RESISTANCE After exposure the material

    12、 shall show no fading or color change in excess of specified Gray Scale rating (AATCC Evaluation Procedure 1/ISO 105-A02). In addition, there shall be no cracking, crazing or other deterioration. Filtered Xenon Arc Weatherometer Rating 4 min (FLTM BO 116-01, 3609.6 kJ/m2exposure min, specimen size:

A change in gloss is not acceptable. 3.8 RESISTANCE TO SCUFFING, min (SAE J365, 250 cycles) The surface shall show no evidence of wear through and shall be compatible to the adjacent unscuffed area. A change in gloss is not acceptable. 3.9 RESISTANCE TO MIGRATIO

    15、N STAINING AND BLOCKING, min Rating 5 (FLTM BN 103-01, ISO 105-A02/AATCC Evaluation Procedure 1) No evidence of injurious exudation, adhesion (tackiness), separation, color transfer, staining, or flattening of the embossing when material is placed in the following positions: Top surface to top surfa

    16、ce Top surface to standard vinyl test material Top surface to back surface 3.10 SOILING AND CLEANABILITY, min (FLTM BN 112-08, ISO 105-A02/AATCC Evaluation Procedure 1) Test agents: Soil, coffee, and grease Cleanability Rating 3 3.11 RESISTANCE TO WINDOW CLEANER SPOTTING, min Rating 4 Window cleanin

    17、g solution must contain at least 1% butyl cellusolve. Test procedure: Prepare test samples by placing 2.0 ml of cleaner on the sample. A non-reactive washer may be used to control the location of the cleaner on the sample. Expose the sample at room temperature for 1 h, rinse with tap water, and dry carefully with a clean paper towel; do not rub spots. Evaluate per ISO 105-A02/AATCC Evaluation Procedure 1. 4.
