    2、OLDING COMPOUND, WSS-M4D979-A UNPAINTED AIRBAG COVER NOT TO BE USED FOR NEW DESIGN 1. SCOPE The material defined by this specification thermoplastic polyolefinic elastomer. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally to be used as an unpainted airbag cover. Parts produced from material

    3、s of the specification must also meet the appropriate passenger and driver side airbag System Design Specification (SDS). 3. REQUIREMENTS Material specification requirements are to be used for initial qualification of materials. 3.1 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers a

    4、nd part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.2 MOLDED TEST SPECIMEN 3.2.1 Preparation of Test Specimens Unless otherwise specified all tests shall be carried out on injection molded one-end gated test specimens. The following dimen

    5、sions are required: A. 150 min x 10 x 4.0 +/- 0.2 mm (Tensile Bar, ISO 3167) B. 120 x 10 x 4.0 +/- 0.2 mm Specimens with shorter dimensions shall be cut from the center portion of the test specimen A and/or B. The specimens shall be prepared according to ISO 294. No annealing allowed. ENGINEERING MA

    10、 (ISO 3795) Burn Rate, max 100 mm/minute The specimen size required for material approval is 355 x 100 x 0.8 +/- 0.1 mm with a smooth surface. 3.5 WEATHERING RESISTANCE After exposure in accordance with 3.7.1, 3.7.2 and 3.7.3, the material shall show no fading or color change in excess of the specif

    11、ied AATCC rating (AATCC Evaluation Procedure 1). In addition, there shall be no cracking, crazing, or any other surface deterioration. Prior to testing, the colors shall be approved for color match by the Design Center Color Laboratory. Note: All initial approvals will be based on the preliminary we
