    2、ERIOR 1. SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a glass filled, high impact rigid thermoplastic polyolefin elastomer (TPO) injection molding compound. This material is UV stabilized and color pigmented for exterior use. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for mater

    3、ial used for exterior light truck box rail moldings, requiring scratch performance. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.1.1 All require

    4、ments of this specification, identified by symbol (s), shall be met with data representing 3 sigma values using latest ISO test methods. 3.1.2 This specification was developed using virgin material properties. The use of regrind is permitted, for economic / environmental reasons, with compliance as

    5、indicated in WSS-M99P1111-A. Critical Process Parameters At the request of Ford Materials Engineering the supplier shall be responsible to collect critical process control data on each lot of material produced. Testing required will be jointly developed between Ford Materials Engineering and the sup

    6、plier based on PFM EA review at the time of initial approval. Annually the supplier will review the in process data with Ford Materials Engineering to show that the process has remained under control. The data needs to be submitted in January for the previous calendar year. Data showing poor quality

    7、 control measures or lack of submitted data may result in deletion form the Ford Approved Source List. 3.2 MOLDING COMPOUND (s) 3.2.1 Melt Flow Rate 19 - 26 g/10 minutes (ISO 1133, 230 C, 2.16 kg) (s) 3.2.2 Filler Content 10 - 14% (ISO 3451/1, Method A, glass filler, 1 h at 650 C +/- 25 C) ENGINEERI

T

    9、he following dimensions are required: A. 150 min x 10 x 4.0 +/- 0.2 mm (ISO 527-2, specimen type 1A) B. 60 x 60 x 2.0 +/- 0.1mm (ISO/DIN 294-3) C. 355 x 100 x 1.0 +/- 0.1mm (ISO 3795) Test specimen A shall be molded using molding conditions defined in ISO 1873-2. Specimens with shorter dimensions sh

    10、all be cut from the center of the specimen A. No annealing allowed. 3.3.2 Density 0.95 - 1.01 g/cm3 (ISO 1183, Method A) 3.3.3 Hardness, Durometer D 51 - 63 (ISO 868, 15 s dwell) (s) 3.3.4 Tensile Strength at Yield, min 14 MPa (ISO 527-1 and ISO 527-2, 150 minimum x 10 x 4.0 +/- 0.2 mm specimen, tes

    11、t speed: 50 mm/minute) (s) 3.3.4.1 Elongation at Yield, min 6% (Test Method according to para 3.3.4) 3.3.5 Tensile Stress/Strain Curves (ISO 527-1, 527-2, ISO 11403-1; 150 x 10 x 4 mm specimen A). Test speed shall be 5mm/minute for all materials. (Reference page 6: rates 5mm/min and 50mm/min). Provi

    12、de a curve of tensile stress versus strain using one specimen per lot at each of the following temperatures: -40 C, 23 C and 0 C.     19、ure in accordance with 3.5.1, 3.5.2, and 3.5.3, the material shall show no color change in excess of specified Gray Scale rating (AATCC Evaluation Procedure 1/ISO 105-A02). In addition, there shall be no cracking, crazing or other deterioration. A slight loss of gloss or chalking will be allowed pro

    20、vided an acceptable appearance can be achieved as specified below by washing with mild detergents and water (ratio 5:95 by volume) or equivalent after the outdoor exposure only. 3.5.1 Xenon Arc Weatherometer Rating 4 (SAE J2527 modified Type “S“ with at least borosilicate inner and outer filters, 75
