SCOPE The materia

    2、ls defined by this specification are fine denier, bulked continuous filament (BCF) nylon, cut pile carpets, tufted into a synthetic primary foundation. The carpet may be backed with rubber or another backing material. 2. APPLICATION This material was originally released for trunk cargo mats. 2.1 LIM

    3、ITATIONS This material has not been evaluated for performance to WSS-M15P44-B 3.10.13 Coefficient of Friction or to SH-0117 Clip Testing. Therefore, passenger compartment floor mats are not applicable to this specification. This material does not meet the requirements in WSS-M15P44-B for Taber Abras

    4、ion (4000 cycles). The material meets 3000 cycles. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 APPROVED SOURCES This specification requires the use of approved sources. Only the sources identified on the Ford Approved Source List (ASL) can be used when this specification is listed on the drawing, CAD file, or other documen

    5、ts. The list of approved sources is located within Ford at or available externally through a Ford Materials Engineer. 3.2 CONDITIONING AND TEST CONDITIONS All test values are based on material conditioned for not less than 24 h prior to testing in a controlled environment of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5

    6、% relative humidity. Testing of the material should occur in the conditioning environment or soon after removal. 3.3 PERFORMANCE CRITERIA 3.3.1 In addition to the requirements listed herein, the end-item floor carpet shall be tested to WSS-M15P44-B/latest and any additional SDS requirements. The det

    7、ails for each of the suppliers specific construction shall be documented in the supplement attached and uploaded into the scanned data package. 3.4 SAMPLE SELECTION All evaluations shall be conducted on test specimens taken from finished roll goods prior to any subsequent operations, such as reheati

    8、ng or molding. 3.5 APPEARANCE The color, pattern, and gloss shall match the approved Corporate Design master sample. GENERAL INFORMATION This information given below is provided for clarification and assistance in meeting the re

    14、quirements of this specification. Contact for questions concerning Engineering Material Specifications. 4.1 DRAWING CALL OUT The following shall be called out on the Engineering drawing to correctly designate the approved material. WSS-M3H175-A1 Supplier Name and Product Code WSS-M15P44-B 4.2 APPRO

    15、VAL OF MATERIALS Suppliers desiring approval of their materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from Purchasing, Design or Product Development, and Materials Engineering. The supplier shall submit a completed copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by a qualified and authorized re

    16、presentative of the test facility, demonstrating full compliance with all the requirements of the Material Specification. Tested material samples must be available for review upon request and kept for a minimum of one year. Upon request, the supplier will review the associated quality control docume

    17、nts (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Control Plans, Certification testing) with Ford. 4.3 SUPPLIERS ONGOING RESPONSIBILITY All materials must be equivalent in all characteristics to the material upon which approval was originally granted. Prior to making any changes to the material origin

    18、ally approved, whether or not such changes affect the materials ability to meet the specification requirements, the supplier shall notify the affected Supplier Technical Assistance (STA), Purchasing, and Materials Engineering activities of the proposed changes (with reasons) by submission of a compl

    19、eted Suppliers Request for Engineering Approval, SREA. For parts and components using Ford Engineering Material Specifications, all samples tested to the specifications for Design Verification (DV), Production Verification (PV) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) sign off must be kept until

    20、Job 1. 4.4 RESTRICTED SUBSTANCE MANAGEMENT STANDARD Substance restrictions imposed by regulations or Company direction applies to the materials addressed by this document. The restrictions are identified in the Restricted Substance Management Standard WSS-M99P9999-A1 which is updated yearly. It is t
