    2、65 DUROMETER A HARDNESS, INTERIOR 1. SCOPE This material defined by this specification is colored and U.V. stabilized thermoplastic elastomers based on Styrene block copolymers (TES) blended with Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) for interior use of nominal instantaneous Durometer. A hardness 65 havi

    3、ng good long term resistance to heat at temperatures up to 100 C. This material can be considered as a lower cost alternative to TPV materials. 2. APPLICATION The specification was released originally for materials used for general interior components which are black or color keyed such as seals, be

    4、zels, gaskets, edge strips, etc. but excluding air bag covers. The material can be processed by conventional thermoplastics molding techniques such as injection molding, extrusion and blow-molding. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part produce

    5、rs must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.2 DYNAMIC MECHANICAL ANALYSIS (ASTM D 4065) Ford Motor Company, at its option, may establish shear modulus/damping vs. temperature curves plotted for -50 to +170 C temperature range for material/parts

    6、supplied to this specification. The shear modulus and damping curves established for initial approval shall constitute the reference standard and shall be kept on file at the designated material laboratory. All samples shall produce shear modulus and damping curves that correspond to the reference s

    7、tandard when tested under the same conditions. 3.3 PREPARATION OF TEST SPECIMENS Unless otherwise specified, all tests shall be conducted on specimens die cut from injection molded plaques 150 x 100 x 2.0 +/- 0.2 mm. The plaques shall be molded according to ISO 294 and film gated along the upper 100

    8、 mm edge, and preceded by a 0.8 mm diameter pin gate. No annealing allowed, unless specified otherwise. 3.4 FINISHED PART REQUIREMENTS The finished part must conform with the requirements of the performance specification WSS-M15P4-E and/or the relevant System Design Specifications (SDS).     15、ace. 3.17 WEATHERING RESISTANCE After exposure in accordance with 3.17.1 and 3.17.2 the material shall show no fading or color change in excess of specified AATCC rating (AATCC Gray Scale for Evaluating Change in color, 10 Step). In addition, there shall be no cracking, crazing or other deterioratio

    16、n. A slight loss of gloss or chalking will be allowed provided an acceptable appearance can be achieved by washing with mild detergents and water (ratio 5:95 by volume). All initial approvals will be based on the preliminary Weatherometer exposure, pending Florida exposure results for final approval
