SCOPE The performance defined by this specification is the mini

    2、mum requirements required for good quality floor mat logos fixed to carpeted floor mat substrates. The information regarding the adhesive and logo construction will be listed in Supplement A at the back of the document. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for direct embroidered

    3、 and adhesive melt logos used for floor mat applications. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS 3.1.1 Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.2 LOGO SUBSTRATE COMPATIBILITY MANA

    4、GEMENT All logos meeting this performance specification must have a supplement A completely filled out and signed by Ford Materials Engineering, the label supplier, and the Floor Mat supplier. A change to the floor mat substrate requires a new submittal. 3.3 CONDITIONING AND TESTING The logos must b

    5、e applied to the production representative floor mat composite using a production representative process. See Table 1 and Table 2 for testing requirements & sample size. Final determination of pass/fail criteria for the italicized items will be made by Ford Materials Engineering. 3.4 LOGO SEPARATION

    6、 FROM FLOOR MAT 3.4.1 Initial Separation Sample Preparation: Take the floor mat with the logo and bend the floor mat 180 under at the edge of the logo. On each side of the logo use a small clamp to compress the floor mat. Requirement: The logo may not show any visual evidence of peeling, separation

    7、from the carpet fibers, loss of adhesion, curling edges, delamination or any other effect which would detract from its proper function or appearance. 3.4.2 Separation after Heat Age Rating 4 min (Prepare per 3.4.1, then 7 days at 80 +/- 2 C, ISO 105-A02, AATCC Evaluation Procedure 1) Requirement: Th

    8、e logo may not show any visual evidence of peeling, separation from the carpet fibers, loss of adhesion, curling edges, delamination, loss of legibility, discoloration, , cracking, excessive shrinkage or any other effect which would detract from its proper function or appearance. H, ISO 105-A02, AATCC Evaluation Procedure 1) Requirement: The logo may not show any visual evidence of peeli

    10、ng, separation from the carpet fibers, loss of adhesion, curling edges, delamination, loss of legibility, discoloration, cracking, excessive shrinkage or any other effect which would detract from its proper function or appearance. 3.4.4 Separation after Environmental Cycling Rating 4 min (Prepare pe

    11、r 3.4.1, 2 cycles, ISO 105-A02, AATCC Evaluation Procedure 1) 5 h at -30 +/- 2 C 30 min at 23 +/- 2 C and 50% R.H. 5 h at 80 +/- 2 C 30 min at 23 +/- 2 C and 50% R.H. 2 h at 50 +/- 2 C and 95 +/- 5% R.H. 30 min at 23 +/- 2 C and 50% R.H. 5 h at -30 +/- 2 C 30 min at 23 +/- 2 C and 50% R.H. 5 h at 80

    14、, discoloration, cracking, excessive shrinkage or any other effect which would detract from its proper function or appearance. 3.4.6 Separation after Water Immersion Rating 4 min (Prepare per 3.4.1, 24 h at 32 +/- 2 C, Completely immersed in a water bath, ISO 105-A02, AATCC Evaluation procedure 1) R

    15、equirement: The logo may not show any visual evidence of peeling, separation from the carpet fibers, loss of adhesion, curling edges, delamination, loss of legibility, discoloration, cracking, excessive shrinkage or any other effect which would detract from its proper function or appearance. 3.5 TAB

    16、ER ABRASION 600 cycles (SAE J1530, CS-10 Wheel, 500 g load) Test shall be conducted with the logo 100% bonded to the substrate to form a material composite. For high pile carpets, adhesively applied logos can be tested by themselves to prevent the taber wheels from bouncing on the logos creating loc

    17、alized wear.
