SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a thermosetting injection molding compound based on unsaturated polyester resin (UP), 17% glass fiber reinforced, high tensi
3、le strength, high heat resistant. This material does not ignite (DNI) without flame retardant additives. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for material used for engine intake manifold. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and p
4、art producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.4 MOLDING COMPOUND 3.4.1 Ash Content 55.5 - 57.5% (ISO 3451/1, Method A, except: 2 h at 550 +/- 10 C, test portion: 10 - 20 g) 3.4.2 Glass Fibre Content 15% By weight, % min ISO 3451/1, Meth
5、od B, 1 h at 650 +/- 25 C, except use 5% by volume hydrochloric acid solution for 15 min. Rinse and filter the glass fibers (use glass filter with pores 50 micrometer, max) several times with distilled water before drying in an oven for 2 h at 120 +/- 2 C. After cooling, weigh the crucibles and calc
6、ulate the percent glass fibers. 3.5 MOLDED TEST SPECIMEN 3.5.1 Preparation of Test Specimens Unless otherwise specified all tests shall be carried out on injection molded test specimens. The following dimensions are required: A. 150 min x 10 x 4.0 +/- 0.2 mm (Tensile Bar, ISO 3167) B. 120 x 10 x 4.0
7、 +/- 0.2 mm Specimens with shorter dimensions shall be cut from the center portion of the test specimen A and/or B.
