SCOPE These specifications define the performance require

    3、ments for paint films on plastic parts for interior use. 2. APPLICATION These specifications were released originally to define paint performance requirements of one coat paint systems for various interior applications. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material supp

    4、liers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.2 PARAGRAPH DELETED 3.3 SYSTEM COMPONENTS 3.3.1 Substrate ABS, Polycarbonate, Polypropylene or as specified on Engineering Drawing. 3.3.2 Plastic Preparation (see also 5.1) The su

    5、rface to be painted shall be cleaned by an acceptable process, e.g. power wash, to remove mold releasing agents, fingerprints, oils, dirt and moisture. 3.3.3 Primer Where necessary in order to meet the requirements of this specification, an adhesion primer, primer surfacer or primer sealer must be u

    6、sed or as specified on Engineering Drawing. 3.3.4 Top Coat Suitable to meet the requirements of this specification or as specified on Engineering Drawing. 3.3.5 Film Thickness As specified in applicable paint material specification.     7、e uncontrolled Copyright 2006, Ford Global Technologies, LLC Page 2 of 4 3.3.6 Ageing Test panels or test specimens prepared for investigations according to this specification must be aged for at least 72 hours at 23 +/- 2 C or 16 hours at 45 +/- 1 C prior to testing. 3.3.7 Production Paint Repair R

    8、epaired areas must meet the requirements of this specification. All repair materials and processes used must be approved by the affected Product Engineering Office. Maximum film thickness for repaired parts will be specified in the mutually agreed control plan. 3.4 APPEARANCE Color, gloss, grain and

    9、 surface finish shall match master Trim Sample and/or Master Appearance Sample as approved by Design. The painted areas shall be opaque on clear plastic parts which are backlighted or edge lighted. 3.4.1 Color See approved sample (FLTM BI 109-01) 3.4.2 Gloss See approved sample (FLTM BI 110-01, 60 g

    10、lossmeter) 3.5 RESISTANCE PROPERTIES 3.5.1 Adhesion Grade 0 (FLTM BI 106-01, Method B) 3.5.2 Water Immersion Test 24 h (FLTM BI 104-01) No blistering, softening, dulling, color change or loss of adhesion per 3.5.1. 3.5.3 Resistance to Water and Soap Spotting, max discoloration Rating 4 - 5 (FLTM BI

    11、113-01) Evaluation according to the AATCC Scale. No film softening 3.5.4 Resistance to Synthetic Perspiration Staining (WSK-M2P161-A only) (FLTM BI 113-03) No softening, change in color tone or gloss. 3.5.5 Resistance to Scratching, max Rating 1 (WSK-M2P161-A only) (FLTM BN 108-13, 2N force) 3.5.6 R

    13、nitial Qualification Only) 3 cycles (FLTM BQ 104-07, Procedure 5) Evaluation after 20 h conditioning at 23 +/- 2 C. No evidence of cracks, no blistering, no change in appearance or other failure when compared with an original unaged part. Adhesion shall meet the requirements of 3.5.1. 3.7 HEAT RESIS

    14、TANCE (7 d at 80 +/- 2 C) No color change, blistering or loss of adhesion per 3.5.1. 3.8 RESISTANCE TO IMPACT AT LOW TEMPERATURES (FLTM BO 151-01, Method B, -30 C) No cracking and no loss of adhesion. 3.9 FLORIDA WEATHERING UNDER GLASS (FLTM BI 160-01, 12 months) Applicable to parts using materials

    15、without previous Florida weathering approval. Test panels or specimens painted according to para 3.3 of this specification shall be exposed under glass in the area of Miami, Florida, 5 facing south for the required exposure time. Evaluation: No blistering, peeling, cracking, crazing, chalking, yello

    16、wing, loss of gloss or any other deterioration. No color change in excess of AATCC Rating 4. 3.10 RESISTANCE AGAINST ARTIFICIAL WEATHERING (SAE J1885) WSK-M2P161-A 225 kJ WSK-M2P161-A2 500 kJ Evaluation: No blistering, peeling, cracking, crazing, chalking, yellowing, loss of gloss or any other deter

    17、ioration. No color change in excess of AATCC rating 4. No loss of adhesion greater than grade “1“ after 24 h water immersion per 3.5.2. 3.11 RESISTANCE TO CLEANING AGENTS, max discoloration Rating 4 (FLTM BN 107-01, 10 cycles) Test Procedure: Substitute a painted plaque for the textile material. Sat

    18、urate white cotton cloth with the cleaners listed. Evaluation according to the AATCC Scale. The paint film shall show no abrasion through to the substrate. 3.14 INITIAL HARDNESS The finish shall be sufficiently hard at time of packing and shipping to withstand normal handling without damage. 3.15 FOGGING (WSK-M2P161-A2 only) (FLTM BO 116-03, 3 h at 100 C) Fog Number, min 6
