2、COPE The material defined by this specification is a Ni-Al-Si-alloyed brass in the forged and heat treated condition. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for material used for manufacturing synchronizer rings. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS M
3、aterial suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.2 CHEMICAL COMPOSITION, (Weight %) Copper 54.00 - 56.00 Silicon 2.00 - 2.50 Iron 0.50 - 1.00 Nickel 6.00 7.50 Aluminum 3.00 4.50 Zinc remainder 3.3 MECHANICAL PROPERTIES Hardness shall be measured on finished part. Hardness HB 2.5/62.5 220 270 3.4 MICROSTRUCTURE The microstructure shall consist of matrix of beta-mixed crystals. Embedded in this matrix there is an intermetallic NiAlSi-compound.
