SCOPEThe materials defined by these specifications are high grade, multipurposegaske ting materials comprised of non-asbestos

    3、reinforcing compounds incombination with a fully cured nitrile rubber. Material s B1 and B2 are twodifferent densities of the same formula. WSE-M8G207-B1 supercedesESE-M8G207-A.2. APPLICATIONThese specifications were origi nally released for materials requiring goodfue l, oil, coolant resistance, an

Thesemate rials exhibit superior crush resistance under high flange loading.Typical gasket applications include front cover, water p ump, throttle body,intake plenums and manifolds, oil pump, water outlet, rear seal retainer,and fuel pump mounting gasket.WSE-M8G207-B1 c

    5、overs a medium h igh density material suitable for use whereflange pressures vary from medium to high.WSE -M8G207-B2 covers a medium density material suitable for use whereflange pressures vary from low to high. It is also suit ed for applicationsrequiring higher initial conformability.3. REQUIREMEN

    6、TS3.1 STATISTICAL PROCESSSupplie rs must conform to the requirements of Ford Quality SystemStand ard Q-101. A mutually acceptable Control Plan as describedtherein is required for material/source approval. Appropriatestatist ical tools must be used to analyze process/product data sothat variation in

    8、 IR spectra and thermograms established for i nitial approval shallconst itute the reference standard and shall be kept on file at thedesignated material laboratory. All samples sha ll produce IR spectraand thermograms that correspond to the reference standard when testedunder the same conditions.3.

    9、3 CONDITIONING AND TEST CONDITIONSAll tests shall be conducted in accordance with ASTM F 104, Type 7materia l unless otherwise specified. The requirements of thisspecifi cation are valid for gasket material of 0.4 to 1.2 mmthickness. Test specimens are to be selected from finished gasketswhen practi

    20、y to meet the specificationrequir ements, the Supplier shall notify Purchasing, Toxicology andthe affected Materials Engineering activity of the proposed changesand obtain the written approval of the Materials Engineeringactivity. Test data, test samples and a new code identification areto be submit

    21、ted with the request.Substance restrictions imposed by law, regulations or Ford, apply tothe materials addressed by this document.     22、MATERIALSMate rials defined by this specification must have prior approval by therespo nsible Materials Engineering activity. Suppliers desiring approvalof their materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from theaffect ed Purchasing, Design and Materials Engineering activity. Uponreques

    23、t, the Supplier shall submit to the affected Materials Engineeringactivity a completed copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by aqualified and authorized representative of the test faci lity, demonstratingfull compliance with all the requirements of this specification (testresults, not nomin

    24、al values), the material designation a nd code number, andtest specimens for Ford evaluation. Fords engineering approval of amateri al will be based on its performance to this specification and on anassessment of suitability for i ntended processes and/or applications. Uponapprov al, the material will be added to the Engineering Material ApprovedSource List.
