SCOPEThe material defined by this specification is oxo hexyl acetate.2. APPLICATIONThe material was originally released for

    2、 material used t o reduce productiontopcoats.3. REQUIREMENTS3.1 QUALITY SYSTEM REQUIREMENTSMaterial suppliers and part producers must conform to Quality SystemRequirements, QS-9000. Material specification r equirements are to beused fo r initial qualification of materials. A Control Plan forong oing

    3、 production verification is required. This plan must bereviewed and approved b y the relevant Ford Materials activity and/orFor d Supplier Technical Assistance (STA) prior to production partssubmission. Appropriate statistical tools must be used to analyzepr ocess/product data and assure consistent

    4、processing of thematerials.Part producers using this material in their products, must use Fordapproved materials and must conform to a process control plan whichhas been approved by STA and/or the relevant Materials Activity.3.2 INFRARED SPECTROPHOTOMETRY AND/OR THERMAL ANALYSISFord Motor Company, a

    5、t its option, may conduct infrared and/ortherma l analysis of material/parts supplied to this specification.The IR spectra and thermograms established for i nitial approval shallconst itute the reference standard and shall be kept on file at thedesignated material laboratory. All samples sha ll prod

    6、uce IR spectraand thermograms that correspond to the reference standard when testedunder the same conditions.3.3 SPECIFIC GRAVITY AT 20 C 0.868 - 0.872(ASTM D 891B)3.4 COLOR Water whiteIf any contamination is noted, a dirt-in-solvent determination isrequired (see para 3.12).ENGINEERING MATERIAL SPEC

Note that no metal flake is a cceptable, regardlessof particle density.3.13 FUNCTIONAL PROPERTIESIt shall not rust black iron pipe or equipment parts. Threaded pipemust be rust-free after soaking 30 days.*A clean steel panel immersed

    10、 in a covered glass container of thesolvent shall not exhibit any corrosion after 72 hours of aerationwith clean, dry air.3.14 ODORThe odo r of the reducer shall not be objectionable or disagreeablean d shall duplicate the odor of the original reducer approved forproduction.ENGINEERING MATERIAL SPEC

    11、IFICATIONWSB-M14J264-AWP 3948-b Page 3 of 4 3.15 IDENTIFICATIONMaterials supplied to t his standard shall be identified with the “M“number printed on the side as well as the top of the containers inletters at least 2 inch es high in a contrasting color to that of thecon tainer. Container markings sh

    12、all be in accordance withManufacturing Standard ZF-10 and conform to all federal, state, andlocal container labelling regulations which are in effect both in theareas of shipment and use.3.16 SUPPLIERS RESPONSIBILITYAll materials supplied to this specification must be equivalent inal l characteristi

    13、cs to the material upon which approval wasoriginally granted.Pri or to making any change in the properties, composition,constr uction, color, processing or labeling of the materialorig inally approved under this specification, whether or not suchchange s affect the materials ability to meet the spec

    14、ificationrequir ements, the Supplier shall notify Purchasing, Toxicology andthe affected Materials Engineering activity of the proposed changesand obtain the written approval of the Materials Engineeringactivity. Test data, t est samples and a new code identification areto be submitted with the requ

    15、est.Substance restrictions imposed by law, regulations or Ford, apply tothe materials addressed by this document. The restrictions aredefined in Engineering Materials Specification WSS-M99P9999-A1.4. APPROVAL OF MATERIALSMat erials defined by this specification must have prior approval by theresp on

    16、sible Materials Engineering activity. Suppliers desiring approvalof thei r materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from theaffec ted Purchasing, Design and Materials Engineering activity. Uponrequest, the Supplier shall submit to the affected Materials Engineeringactivity a completed

    17、copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by aqualified and authorized representative of the test faci lity, demonstratingful l compliance with all the requirements of this specification (testresults, not nominal values), the material designation a nd code number, andtes t specimens for Ford eva

    18、luation. Fords engineering approval of amateri al will be based on its performance to this specification and on anassessment of suitability for intended processes and/or applications. Uponapprov al, the material will be added to the Engineering Material ApprovedSource List.ENGINEERING MATERIAL SPECI
