    3、N 1. SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a Chiltern II pattern needled non-woven polyester face fabric. Material conforming to WSS-M5H44-A1/A2/A4 is 100% virgin yarn. Material conforming to WRS-M5H44-A3 is made of 92% min recycled yarn. 2. APPLICATION WSS-M5H44-A1- This specification

    4、 was released originally for material used as an interior trim fabric for Everest 2015 MY for headliner component. WSS-M5H44-A2 - This specification was released originally for material used as an interior trim fabric for Ka 2018 MY for headliner component. WRS-M5H44-A3 - This specification was rele

    5、ased originally for material used as an interior trim fabric for Ranger MY15 and MY18 for headliner component. WSS-M5H44-A4 - This specification was released originally for material used as an interior trim fabric for Ranger MY15 and MY18 for headliner component. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 APPROVED SOURCES

    6、 This specification requires the use of approved sources. Only the sources identified on the Ford Approved Source List (ASL) can be used when this specification is listed on the drawing, CAD file, or other documents. The list of approved sources is located within Ford at or available externally thr

    7、ough a Ford Materials Engineer. 3.2 WSS-M5H44-A1/A2/A4. This specification is based on virgin materials. WRS-M5H44-A3 This specification is based on 92% min recycled materials. 3.3 FABRIC PERFORMANCE In addition to the requirements listed herein, the fabric shall meet all requirements of WSS-M8P27-A

    8、1/latest as applicable.     10、 ENVIRONMENTAL PERFORMANCE Materials used in interior applications must meet the requirements outlined in WSS-M99P2222-D1/latest, Performance, Vehicle Interior Environmental Quality Material/Component Requirements. Data must be included in material submission package. 3.6 CONDITIONING AND TEST CONDI

    11、TIONS All test values are based on material conditioned for not less than 24 h prior to testing in a controlled environment of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5% relative humidity. GENERAL INFORMATION The information given below is provided for clarificati

    15、on and assistance in meeting the requirements of this specification. Contact for questions concerning Engineering Material Specifications. 4.1 Purchase departments will ensure that the material defined in this specification and shipped to any one assembly plant will be produced by one supplier only

    16、. Each regional location of the supplier for this specification must provide a construction package and be approved to meet this specification. 4.2 If yarn is locally sourced it must meet the above fabric construction, composition and yarn construction. 4.3 APPROVAL OF MATERIALS Suppliers desiring a

    17、pproval of their materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from Purchasing, Design or Product Development, and Materials Engineering. The supplier shall submit a completed copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by a qualified and authorized representative of the test facility, de

    18、monstrating full compliance with all the requirements of the Material Specification. Tested material samples must be available for review upon request and kept for a minimum of one year. Upon request, the supplier will review the associated quality control documents (Process Failure Mode and Effects

    19、 Analysis, Control Plans, Certification testing) with Ford. 4.4 SUPPLIERS ONGOING RESPONSIBILITY All materials must be equivalent in all characteristics to the material upon which approval was originally granted. Prior to making any changes to the material originally approved, whether or not such ch

    20、anges affect the materials ability to meet the specification requirements, the supplier shall notify the affected Supplier Technical Assistance (STA), Purchasing, and Materials Engineering activities of the proposed changes (with reasons) by submission of a completed Suppliers Request for Engineerin

    21、g Approval, SREA. For parts and components using Ford Engineering Material Specifications, all samples tested to the specifications for Design Verification (DV), Production Verification (PV) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) sign off must be kept until Job 1. 4.5 RESTRICTED SUBSTANCE MANAG

    22、EMENT STANDARD Substance restrictions imposed by regulations or Company direction applies to the materials addressed by this document. The restrictions are identified in the Restricted Substance Management Standard WSS-M99P9999-A/latest which is updated yearly. It is the suppliers responsibility to comply with this standard on a continuing basis. 5.
