GENERAL.A1.1 HEXAGON.The nut shall be gauged using two plain ring gauges, A and B, to demonstrate th
2、ecoincidental acceptability of hex height, wrenching height and width across corners.A1.2 HEXAGON FLANGED.The nut shall be gauged using three plain ring gauges, A, B and C, to demonstrate thecoincidental acceptability of hex height, wrenching height, width across corners, and theflange diameter and
3、thickness.A2. GAUGING.A2.1 HEX PORTION.For hexagon nuts gauge A2 shall be seated on a flat surface and the nut placed in it . Forhexagon flanged nuts gauge A1 shall be placed over the hex portion and seat of theflange. Gauge B shall be placed on the top of the nut normal to the nut axis. The twogaug
4、es shall not be in contact.A2.2 FLANGE.Gauge C shall be seated on a flat surface and the nut placed in it. Gauge A1 shall beplaced over the hex portion. The nut shall seat within gauge C, and gauges A1 and Cshall not be in contact.NOTE: For hexagon nuts only Clause 2.1 applies. For hexagon flanged n
