    4、nterface Bob equipped with Kapton Film) The upper half of SLIDO houses the “TriboHead” superstructure with an instrumented counterface, servomotors, IR heaters and an environmental chamber. The lower half of the SLIDO configuration has the electronics, opto-isolation, data acquisition and power cond

    5、itioning. Other components include the IR power conditioning, servo power amplification and optical isolation. SLIDO II is a state-of-art robotics instrument for controlling the motion of the TriboHead, which precisely measures the normal loads and traction forces with high fidelity. Measurement of

    6、tribological forces are made directly at the contact wear-head creating exceptional diagnostics of friction-induced-damage, FID. SlidoSoft software makes the machine setup and test procedures easy. The SLIDOSOFT software also displays test results in an easy-to-view graphical environment which also

    7、outputs test data in ASCII format for use with popular spreadsheets and plotting programs. Test Panels Quantity: Minimum 5 (8% gauge R&R) panels and/or flat sections of part.     9、21 C bake (and/or production representative process). Test panels/parts are not to be cleaned with any solvents. SLIDO test conditions are: Temperature: 155 F 68 C, acceleration: 20.0 in/sec2 0.51 m/sec2, velocity: 2.0 in/sec 0.051 m/sec Distance: 6 inches 0.152 m traversed, Load: 100 1500 lbf 445 N

Clean Kapton film with tissue (Kimwipe or equivalent) soaked with IPA. a. Clean Kapton film every 100 tests. b. To remove Kapton film, soak in ac

    16、etone. c. Use cyanoacrylate adhesive to bond film to the counterface bob 8. Click on the “Run“ icon 9.     17、of SLIDO Performance 6 (OR) Distance traversed (meters) up to failure point * 6227 + 445 = Newtons of SLIDO Performance 0.152 General Information The testing with SLIDO involves a very smooth cylindrical counterface with the durable Kapton covering. SLIDO uses 2D material tests that attempt to mimic

    18、 the damage experienced in real fascia situations. Both the counterface shape and the time varying load distribution into the TPO influence the stress, as shown by analysis. Experiments are also in progress to develop 3D counterfaces that replicate the more severe 3D damage often seen on full size f

    19、ascias. Real world user profiles on complex fascia have specific deflection histories. From extensive full vehicle damage tests by FM Analysts, the loads transmitted into real fascia can be simulated with these 2D SLIDO tests. The software initiates motion at a fixed acceleration until the desired v

    20、elocity is reached. The counterface glides along the specimen at constant velocity until the designated test length is reached. The deceleration to stop is the same magnitude as the acceleration. The FID is initiated at a distance, lf from the start. FID occurs at a specific compression load, FZ and

    21、 traction (friction) load, FX. Both forces are acquired by the custom sensors in the TriboHead and recorded by the data acquisition system. In English units: The compression force at startup is generally 100 lbs and the maximum force is usually 1500 lbf. These forces are uniformly distributed across

    22、 the 1.7 inch width of the Kapton counterface. The FID occurs at a compression force of FZ= 100 + lf / 6. * 1400. Thus a slide distance half way, lf= 3.0 inches results in a compression force FZ= 800 lbf. Most clear coats have a dynamic sliding friction coefficient ranging = 0.25 0.60. References No
