FECDS F-1 Engineering CAD the parts being assembled, and the parts in the background already assembled. The Engineering Release System is the master for the vehicle usage of the parts and

    2、 background information. Part Number Callouts of depicted parts to be assembled or serviced shall include at a minimum the Engineering Base Part Number. Fastener part numbers shall also be shown including finishes, hex sizes and part names exactly as designated in MPNR. Callouts of background parts

Depict a new approximate viewing direction taken from one of the Standard Views or another Directional View and require the use of a Direction Arrow. See Figure F1.9. Illustration Direction Arrows orient the viewer to the direction angle of the Directional View(s

Views taken from the Standard or Directional Views that depict cross or partial sections of one or more components to provide detail that cannot be obtained from the Standard Views. Views of

    7、sections may be shown without background lines, see Figure F-1.10, or with background lines see Figure F-1.11. Section Views require section plane location on the drawing and directional cutting plane arrows. Creation of Section Views taken from other Section Views is not recommended. The use of an

    8、orthographically projected section view on an Illustration is acceptable, see Figure F-1.10. When sectioning thin material, the spacing of a material edge may be illustrated greater than the actual dimension for clarification, See Figure F-1.10 and F-1.11.     11、 In general, Illustration Symbols such as welding or paint/sealer symbols should be drawn to reflect the perspective of the illustration. All hidden symbols are common to nonhidden symbols except that they are shown in broken or dashed lines. 3.7.1 Welding Symbols. Welding Symbols depict the type of

    13、 be identified on the illustration by enclosing the weld group in a rectangle or polygon. The Weld Group Callout shall be enclosed with a rectangle having a leader line to the outline of the Weld Group rectangle or polygon. See Figure F-1.17. 3.7.3 Weld Specifications. Welds may be identified by pla

    14、cing a chart on the drawing. See Figure F-1.17. 3.8 ILLUSTRATION DRAWING NOTE SYMBOLS 3.8.1 Note Symbol. This note symbol with a numeric value is used on Illustrations to designate all repeat installation(s) requirements and/or noncritical general notes referring to a suggested process for assembly

Illustration Drawings that include features, process steps, or requirements designated as Critical Characteristics by a Cross Functional Team are Control Items and must have the inve

    17、rted delta ( ) symbol preceding the feature(s), process steps, or requirement(s). If Critical Characteristics are applied on an illustration drawing, the Control Item symbol must be added to the illustration number in the title block and a Control Item note (Figure E2.2) shall be added in the Genera

    18、l Notes Area. See A in Figure F1.16 and Figure F1.17. 3.9.2 Callouts. Part Number Callouts on Illustration Drawings identified by an inverted delta ( ) have one or more Critical Characteristics. The Special Controls for these parts were applied prior to this assembly operation. See B in Figure F1.16

    19、. 3.9.3 Requirement Note. When a Critical Characteristic requirement note is used, it shall be placed above the Control Item note, see Paragraph 3.9.1. An inverted delta ( ) shall be applied next to each note. See C in Figure F1.16. A corresponding note reference (Ex: NOTE 1, etc.) shall be placed b

    20、elow the Part Number Callout. An inverted delta shall precede the note reference. See D in Figure F1.16.
