SCOPE: 1.1 I I I 1.2 1 I I I I I f I 1.3 1 f I I 1.3.1 .I I I I I 2. 2.1 This standard describes acceptable modular type terminal blocks, rated 600 Vat which are mounted on a track, strip, channel, or DIN type 3 (35mm symmetri

2、cal) Rail for use on control panels and sub-assemblies, and in terminal boxes on industrial equipment. Approved sources shall have a range of terminal blocks available for terminating stranded copper conductors, sizes AWG (American Wire Gauge) No. 18, 65 strands, through No. 4, 19 strands; and types

3、 for mounting for one or more of the following standard size fuses: 13/32 inch (1Omm) x l-1/2 inch (38mm), l/4 inch x 1 inch, l/4 inch x l-1/4 inch, 5mm x 2Omm, 25mm, and 30mm. Fusible terminals shall be available with neon and LED blown fuse-indicators. Circuit breaker type terminal blocks shall al

4、so be available. NOTE: Use of terminal blocks for wire sizes No. 4, AWG and larger requires written permission of the controls engineer at the requisitioning activity. DEFINITIONS: For purposes of this standard, a terminal block is defined as a pressure wire connector that establishes the connection

5、 between two or more conductors, or between one or more conductors and a termination point. Conductors shall be retained by screw-type terminals with a captive saddle clamp or by a screw-less cage clamp. A module is an assembly of terminals in a common insulating material base suitable for mounting

6、on a track or DIN type 3 Rail - with other singles blocks or modules of various ratings - and suitable for removal from a track without interference with adjacent units. REFERENCE STANDARDS: I Terminal blocks shall conform to the following Standards. In case I of any conflict, the requirements speci

Neither the head nor the point of the screw shall bear directly on the conductor strands. The conductor shall be secured between two non-rotating surfaces. I I I I I I I I I I The me

11、tallic clamping mechanism of the terminal block shall surround the wire from all sides to prevent strands from splaying outside the clamping area. For screw-type terminals this shall include serration on the captive pressure plate to ensure a gas tight connection and centering beads with wire stops.

12、 Screw-type and screwless cage-clamp terminals shall include funnel design wire entry that ensures uniform location on the conductor(s). Metal parts shall be non-corrosive or otherwise tinned or treated to resist the effects of corrosion and oxidation. Current carrying parts shall be of copper or co

Terminal block insulation shall withstand temperatures of at least 104 degrees C (220 degrees F), and shall have a flammability rating of UL 94-VI. 4. TERMINAL BLOCK ASSEMBLY: FORD MANUFACTURIN

15、G STANDARDS ET1 MARCH 1995 TERMINAL BLOCKS ET1 Page 3 4.1 Terminal block design shall be such that various sizes and special types (blocks which contain fuses or circuit breakers) may be arranged in any desired combination along the mounting rail holding the blocks. 4.2 The metal track, strip, or ot

This requirement shall be confirmed during set up of the pull out test as specified in 5.1 of this Standard. 4.4 Where mounted in a vertical position, means shall be provided to prevent the blocks from slip

18、ping or sliding along the mounting rail. The blocks shall remain fixed under application of the same forces specified in 5.1. End anchors which are secured to the mounting rail with screws are preferred for this purpose, and shall be available from approved terminal manufacturers. 4.5 Terminals used

19、 for control conductors sizes AWG 18 through AWG 12 shall accommodate at least 30 blocks per running foot. This requirement does not apply to blocks for control fuses or circuit breakers. 5. 5.1 TESTS: I TERMINAL BLOCK PULLOUT TEST: The terminal block shall not pull out I of its mounting track nor s
