SCOPE The material defined by this specification is an acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) and polycarbonate alloy which may be electroplated or pai

    3、nted and exhibits good impact and heat resistance. ESB-M4D413 suffix designations correspond to former type categorization as follows: ESB-M4D413-A2 replaces ESB-M4D413-A1 Drawings specifying ESB-M4D413-A1 or ESB-M4D413-B1 do not require revision to reflect this new suffix classification. 2. APPLICA

    4、TION This specification was released originally for material used in painted radiator grilles and electroplated mirror housings where high impact and/or heat resistance is required. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform

    5、to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.2 PROPERTIES 3.2.1 Specific Gravity 1.06 - 1.15 (ASTM D 792) 3.2.2 Hardness, Rockwell “R“ 106 - 114 (ASTM D 785) 3.2.3 Tensile Strength, min 6400 psi (44.1 MPa) (ASTM D 638) 3.2.4 Elongation, min 30% (ASTM D 638) ENGI

(Splay and/or brittleness indicates that the polycarbonate portion of the alloy has been irreversibly degraded.) 3.4 FLA

    9、MMABILITY, max 4 in (101 mm)/min (FLTM BN 024-02, without the lot sampling plan) In addition, the test specimen shall not exhibit any flashing or sudden flaming on either surface in excess of the above maximum value. 3.6 MOLDED PARTS Specific requirements for physical properties of molded parts, whe

    10、n required, shall be specified on the engineering drawing. 3.7 DECORABILITY When decorating is required on parts made of this material, they must be capable of accepting this decoration in accordance with the performance specification shown on the engineering drawing.
