SCOPEThe materials defined by this specification are vinyl organosol coatingssuitable for interior exposure.2. APPLICATIONThese specifications were relea sed origi

    3、nally for enamels used on interiorparts as follows:ESB-M26J200-A for decorative parts subject to no more than mildESB-M26J200-B scuffing or abrasion during normal use.ESB-M26J201-A for decorative or functional parts subject to scuffing3. REQUIREMENTS3.1 COMPOSITION3.1.1 VehicleThe vehicle shall be e

    4、ssentially a polyvinyl chloride resinwith suitable plasticizers, stabilizers and solvents.3.1.2 PigmentThe pig ment shall be balanced and blended so that thefinished vinyl coating matches the Ford Motor Company masterpan el in color and meets the requirements of thisspecification for durability.3.1.

    6、J200-B)The volatile portion shall not be photochemicallyreactive as defined below:A photochemically reactive solvent is any solventwith an aggregate of more than 20 % of its totalvol ume composed of the chemical compoundscl assified below or which exceeds any of thefollowing individual percentage co

    7、mpositionli mitations, referred to the total volume ofsolvent:. A combination of hydrocarbons, alcohols,aldehydes, esters or ketones having an olefinicor cycloolefinic type of unsaturation - 5 %. A combination of aromatic compounds with eightor m ore carbon atoms to the molecule exceptethylbenzene -

    8、 8 %. A combination of ethylbenzene, ketones havingbranched hydrocarbon structures, trichloro-ethylene or toluene - 20 %.Whenever any organic solvent or any constituent ofan or ganic solvent may be classified from itschemical structure in to more than one of the abovegroups of organic compounds, it

    9、shall be consi deredas a member of the most reactive chemical group,that is, that group having the least allowablepercent of the total volume of solvents.Enamels or primers sent to various regions of thecountry must conform to E.P.A. rules andregulations for that region.3.1.5 Specific Composition (E

    16、celerated Aged Adhesion (Humidity Exposure)The sprayed plastic film shall not blister or ex hibit loss ofadhesion beyond the lim its provided for in the adhesion testlisted below. It shall also protect the base material fromcorrosion as a result of humidity exposure.Test Method. Sub ject sprayed pla

    17、stic film panels to 98 +/- 2 %relative humidity at 38 +/- 1 C for 24 h. Condition at 23 +/- 2 C for 15 min. Cut two parallel l ines through the plastic film 3/32 +/-1/32 in (2.4 +/- 0.8 mm) apart. Attempt to pull the film between the parallel cuts fromthe bar e metal. The peel may be started by mean

    18、s of aknife blade. The pull may be accomplished b y grasping theloosened end between a finger and the knife blade. The film shall not pull free more than 1/8 in (3 mm)before breaking due to adhesive force. Indication of brittleness or peeling result ing from knifecuts shall be cause for rejection.EN

    20、) ofshotESB-M26J201-A: 3 cycles, 90 lb (40.8 kg) of shot3.6.3 Resistance to Scuffing(FLTM BN 8-4)The o rganosol coating shall exhibit no more evidence ofscuffing or color change than the approved master sample onfile in the Body Materials Engineering Departmen t using scuffhead “A“ with a 2 lb (0.9

GENERAL INFORMATIONThe mate rial data included herein is for information only and is not arequirement for the supplier.5.1 FLASH POINT - 5 E C5.2 FLAMMABILITYThis material represent s a potential fire hazard. The ManufacturingEngineering Department shall notify both the Plant Security and theSa

    26、fety Units of its pre sence in the Plant to assure that proper fireprecautions are provided. The location in which it is used or storedshall be included in the notifications.5.3 APPLICATION TECHNIQUESThe use of a primer with the material defined by this specificationis not requ ired. A flash or baked primer may be used uponrecommendation of the specific vendor if essenti al to the performanceof his product. The use of solvents and choice of baking schedule intesting should also be based on the recommendations of the specificvendor.
