SCOPE The material defined by this specification is grease composed of mineral oil, lithium soap and polyethylene. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for grease used as a long-life lubrican

    3、t on hood hinges and related body hardware applications. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.2 WORKED PENETRATION, tenths of a millimet

    4、er 265 - 295 (ASTM D 217, DIN ISO 2137, 60 strokes) 3.3 DROPPING POINT 175 C min (ASTM D 566, D 2265, DIN ISO 2176) 4. GENERAL INFORMATION The information given below is provided for clarification and assistance in meeting the requirements of this specification. Grease approved to this specification

    5、 should have the following typical properties. 4.1 COLOR Amber (Visual) 4.2 COMPOSITION 4.2.1 Lithium 12 Hydroxy Stearate Soap 6 12% (ASTM D 128 or according to formulation) 4.2.2 Polyethylene 2.5 7.0% (ASTM D 128 or according to formulation) 4.2.3 Mineral Oil Remainder ENGINEERING MATERIAL SPECIFIC

E-coat and powder coat. 4.11.2 Resistance to Stress Cracking No cracking or crazing (FLTM BO 127-03) Note: Not tested for initial application of this grease. Grease must be tested for resistance to stress cracking when used for additi

    14、onal applications that come in contact with polymers such as PC, ABS, PC+ABS, ASA or acrylic. 4.11.3 Elastomer Compatibility (ASTM D 4289, DIN 53505, DIN 53504, 70 h, 100 C) Note: Not tested for initial application of this grease. Grease must be tested for elastomer compatibility when used for addit

    15、ional applications that come in contact with elastomers. Application specific elastomer should be used for testing instead of a reference elastomer. 5. SUMMARY OF REVISIONS 2010 11 18 Lot certification tests moved to requirements, all other requirements moved to general information. Removed Film Str

    16、ength Durability after 100,000 cycle consistency test. Added information on interface compatibility, low temperature torque, and oil separation which are requirements in WSS-M13P12-A. Corrected test method for Film Strength Durability (was FLTM BJ002-01) Deleted references to light green color used for non-body applications, this color is no longer supplied.
