SCOPE The material defined by this specification is an ether based polyurethane extrusion or injection molding compound with good resistance to hydrolysis. 2. APPLICATION This specification was release

    3、d originally for material used as a steering column insulator where toughness, resistance to road vibration or shock insulation is required. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For

    4、 Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.3 MOLDED TEST SPECIMENS 3.3.1 Preparation of Test Specimens Test specimens shall be obtained from injection molded slabs and post cured for 16 +/- 2 h at 120 +/- 2 C. 3.3.3 Specific Gravity 1.11 - 1.15 (ASTM D 792) 3.3.4 Hardness, Durometer A 78 - 88 (ASTM D

    5、 2240) 3.3.5 Ozone Resistance, max Rating 0 (ASTM D 518, Method B) 3.3.6 Tear Strength, min 70 kN/m (ASTM D 624, Die C) 3.3.7 Compression Set, max 50% (ASTM D 395, Method B, 22 h at 70 C) 3.3.8 Tensile Modulus, min (ASTM D 412, Die C) At 50% Elongation 3.1 MPa At 100% Elongation 4.5 MPa At 300% Elon

At Break -25% Test Method: Die C tensile specimens shall be placed in a 118 cm3open top jar which is placed in a 946 cm3screw cap jar containing 150 cm3of distilled water. The screw cap jaw is secured and placed

    8、 in a circulating air oven for 96 +/- 1 h at 80 +/- 2 C. Aged specimens are removed, conditioned for 24 +/- 0.5 h at 50% +/- 5% R.H. and 23 +/- 2 C. Tensile modulus is to be determined per para 3.3.8 and percent change reported. 3.3.11 Immersion in Transmission Fluid ESP-M2C138-CJ (ASTM D 471, 48 h

    9、at 23 +/- 2 C) After immersion, run tensile modulus on 3 samples conditioned for 16 h at 115 +/- 2 C and on 3 samples after fluid aging. Maximum allowable change in tensile modulus (test according to para 3.3.8). At 50% Elongation -50% At 100% Elongation -50% At 300% Elongation -50% 3.3.12 Immersion

    10、 in Brake Fluid ESA-M6C25-A (ASTM D 471, 15 s at 23 +/- 2 C) After immersion, run tensile modulus on 3 samples conditioned for 16 h at 115 +/- 2 C and on 3 samples after fluid aging. Maximum allowable change in tensile modulus (test according to para 3.3.8). At 50% Elongation -15% At 100% Elongation -15% At 300% Elongation -15% 5.
