Telecommunications Standard (ETS) has been prepared by the Equipment Engineering (EE) T

15、echnical Committee of the European Telecommunications Standard Institute (ETSI), and is now submitted for the Public Enquiry phase of the ETSI standards approval procedure. The present ETS constitutes a subpart of a multi-part ETS as shown below: ETS 300 386 Equipment Engineering (EE); Public teleco

17、supply equipment Subpart 4: Supervisory equipment This ETS has been prepared in response to European Commission mandate BC-T-353 and, upon citation in the Official Journal of the European Communities, is intended to become a Harmonized Standard within the terms of the New Approach. Conformity to thi

Such equipment includes: - multiplexers; - line equipment and repeaters, e.g. equipment for: - Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SDH); - - Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM); Digital Cross Connect Systems (DCC); network terminations. This E

23、TS specifies the operating conditions and the minimum compliance criteria for such equipment. The applicable EMC tests, the method of measurements and the limits are specified in ETS 300 386-1 I, from which the EMC requirements are selected taking into account the priority of service provided by the

24、 equipment under consideration. The environmental classification used in this ETS refers to ETS 300 386-1 l. The requirements of this ETS do not cover those cases where a potential source of interference which produces individually repeated transient phenomena or continuous phenomena is permanently

25、present, e.g., a radar or broadcast site in the near vicinity. In such cases it may be necessary to use special protection applied to either the source of interference or the equipment interfered with, or both. Equipment for cabled distribution systems for television and sound signals as defined in

26、EN50083-2 26 is outside the scope of this ETS. 2 Normative References This ETS incorporates by dated and undated reference, provisions from other publications. These normative references are cited at the appropriate places in the text and the publications are listed hereafter. For dated references,

27、subsequent amendments to or revisions of any of these publications apply to this ETS only when incorporated in it by amendment or revision. For undated references the latest edition of the publication referred to applies. ETS 300 386-1 (1 994): “Equipment Engineering (EE); Public telecommunication n
