    29、heat maintenancetemperature .3GeneralrequirementsWelding consumables to be testedshall be representativeofthe manufacturers products to be classified or tested.Test pieces shallbeprepared as describedbelow.4TestplatematerialThematerial to be used forthe test pieceshall be compatible with theweldmeta

    30、l provided by the weldingconsumable tested.     31、fasingleV-grooveonabacking strip. Thebacking stripshall be tackwelded to thetestpiece on thereverse side.See Figure1andTable1.Theplates of the testpiece shallbepre- setorrestrained in such awa ythatasufficientlyflattestpiece is producedforextraction of specimens.The welded test pieceshall not be str

    34、ichcasethat positionshall be used f or welding. Thewelding shall be started afterapplyingany preheating requirements given in theconsumable standard. Theinterp asstemperatureshall alsobein accordancewith the consumable standard.Thepreheat andinterpass temperatures shallbemeasured usingtemperatureind

    35、icator crayons, surfacethermometersorthermocouples,see ISO 13916.Thewelding conditions used,suchascurrent, voltage, travel speed, weldrun sequence, weldbead size, shallbeinaccordancewith thelimits specified in therelevant consumable standard.7HeattreatmentAllheattreatments required forthe weld metal

    36、, except hydrogen removaltreatment, shallbecarried out on the testpiece, or on sections thereofwith amachiningallowance.Theheat treatments arespecifiedinstandards relating to weldingconsumables.Hydrogen removal treatment maybecarried out on the test piecefor tensiletesting beforeorafter final machin

    37、ing.Thetestpiecemay be held at atemperaturenot exceeding 250Cfor up to 16 h.8PositionoftestspecimensandtestspecimendimensionsFigures 2and 3respectivelyshow theposition of the tensiletestspecimen andofthe notchedimpactspecimens.Thetestpieces shallbedivided by cutting(machining) or by thermalcutting.I

Apartfromtype1.0 a nd 1.1testpieces, for whichthe diameter shallbe8mm, the specimens shall have adiameter of 10 mm in the gauge length.Theimpactspecimens shall be in accordancewiththe designation VWT0/b in ISO 9016:2000. Thepo
