、 of IEC 60519 is applicable to industrial high-frequency dielectric heating installations for the purpose of thermal applications such as melting, drying, welding, insect extermination and gluing of partially or non-conductive materials such as plastics, wood, rubber, textiles, glass, ceramic, paper

、, bamboo, foodstuffs, etc. in both normal and protective atmospheres, using for example inert gases or vacuum. This standard relates to high-frequency dielectric heating installations with nominal frequency in the range from 1 MHz to 300 MHz with rated useful output power greater than 50 W. NOTE In

、accordance with CISPR 11, there are preferred frequencies designated by the International Telecommunication Union for use as fundamental ISM frequencies. The voltage band according to IEC 60519-1 relates to the mains supply voltage. In some circuits of the dielectric heating installation, the d.c.,

、a.c. or radio-frequency voltages can have greater values (e.g. in the generator due to a built-in transformer). 2 Normative references The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this document. For dated references, only the edition citied applies. For undated referen

、ces, the latest edition of the referenced document (including any amendments) applies. 32、cy; b) the rectifier part which generally contains the components for the conversion of mains frequency supply current into high voltage d.c.; c) the oscillator part, which contains the components necessary for the generation and matching of high-frequency energy (the oscillator part is placed in a

、shielded enclosure to reduce high-frequency radiation); d) the control and monitoring system, which contains the programmed control with interlocks and safety devices for overload protection, as well as switchgear and monitoring devices. 4.2 Protection against direct contact 4.2.1 General All live p

、arts other than the output terminals of the dielectric heating generator shall be located in one or more enclosures with adequate protection against direct contact. 4.2.2 Means of access to parts under voltage band 2 Doors and/or detachable panels giving access to voltages band 2 (up to 1 000 V a.c.

、 or 1 500 V smooth d.c.) shall be provided either with door locks, which can be opened only by the use of a key, or with electrical interlocks that disconnect the voltage when the door is being opened or the panel is being removed. Detachable panels which are intended to be removed only very occasio

、nally shall be fastened with safety screws which cannot be removed from outside by the use of a standard tool or without the use of any tool. 4.2.3 Means of access to parts under voltage band 3 Doors and/or detachable panels giving access to voltages band 3 (over 1 000 V a.c. or 1 500 V smooth d.c.)
