This Harmonization Document was submitted to the formal vote for conversion into a European Standard and was approved by CENELEC as EN 60068-5-2 on 1999-10-01. The

Its general requirements are contained in: Part 1: General and guidance These requirements and guidance are

    19、r the drafting and presentation of International Standards“ (Directives Part 3, 2nd edition 1989) and maintaining uniformity in the presentation of the individual standards. Each standard, excluding IEC 60068-3 and IEC 60068-4, will contain preliminary elements (see 2.2 of IEC/ISO Rules); normative

    20、elements, both “general“ (see 2.3 of IEC/ISO Rules) and technical“ (see 2.4 of IEC/ISO Rules); and supplementary elements (see 2.5 of IEC/ISO Rules). To define terms used in the environmental testing of specimens of electrotechnical 1.2 The environmental conditions for which provision is made include shock and vibration, climatic

    22、 (temperature, humidity and air pressure), sealing (against ingress of solids, liquids and gasses or to maintain a pressure difference), soldering heat (including thermal shock from soldering). 1.3 Terms for fire hazard testing are not included as they are to form a part of IEC 60695. The following

    23、conditions have not been considered: solar radiation, mould growth, corrosion, robustness of terminations, durability of marking, dust, sand and rain, nuclear radiation, acoustically induced vibration. NOTES 1 The scope of IEC 60068 is in clause 2 of IEC 60068-1. In other standards of IEC 60068, cla

    24、use 1 is termed the “object“ clause and serves the purpose of object and field of application. 2 This guide uses, in principle, existing terms and definitions from IEC 60068 listed according to a classification of environmental conditions that is not that of IEC 60721 but is better suited to the nee

    25、ds of IEC 60068-2 test methods. 3 Some definitions from specialized vocabularies, for example from IS0 2041 and IEC 60721-1, have been included where there is no definition in IEC 60068. For the purposes of this standard, the term “testinglconditioning“ is adopted with the appropriate word being taken for a particular test method. 4.1 test: Complete series of operations implied by its title, normally comprising the following operations, if required: a) precond

    33、itioning; b) initial examination and measurements; c) testingkonditioning; d) recovery; e) final examination and measurements. NOTE - Intermediate measurements may be required during testinglconditioning andlor recovery. 4.2 testinglconditioning: Exposure of a specimen to environmental conditions in

    34、 order to determine the effect of such conditions on the specimen. 4.3 environmental conditions (definition equivalent to that of 3.1 of IEC 60721-1 ): Physical and chemical conditions external to the specimen to which it is subjected at a certain time and comprising a combination of single environm

    35、ental parameters and their severities. NOTE - The environmental conditions are generally composed of environmental conditions appearing in nature and environmental conditions generated by the specimen itself or by external sources. 4.4 environmental parameters (definition identical with that of 3.2

    36、of IEC 60721-1 ): One or more physical or chemical properties (for example: temperature, humidity, acceleration). Example: The environmental parameter “Vibration“ is characterized by the type of vibration (sinusoidal, random), acceleration, frequency. 4.5 specimen: Product designated to be tested in

    37、 accordance with the procedures of IEC 60068. NOTE - The term “specimen“ includes any auxiliary parts or systems that are integral functional features of the specimen, for example systems for cooling and heating, mechanical isolators.     38、9 989 m Page 7 4.6 preconditioning: Treatment of a specimen, before testinglconditioning, with the object of removing or partly counteracting the effects of its previous history. EN 60068-5-2:1999 4.7 recovery: Treatment of a specimen, after testinglconditioning, in order that the properties of the

    39、specimen may be stabilized before measurement. 4.8 relevant specification: Set of requirements to be satisfied by a product, indicating the method(s) necessary to determine whether the requirements given are satisfied. 4.9 severity: Set of parameters for the testing/conditioning of the specimen. 4.1

    40、0 combined test: Test in which two or more test environments act upon the specimen simultaneously. 4.11 composite test: Test in which the specimen is exposed to two or more test environments in close succession. NOTES 1 they may have a significant effect on the specimen. 2 3 exposure. The intervals

    46、nearest whole number, that is 10 mIs2. 5.2 critical frequencies: Frequencies at which: - malfunctioning and/or deterioration of performance of the specimen due to vibration appear; andlor - mechanical resonances andlor other response effects occur, for example chatter.     47、.6 fixing point: Part of the specimen in contact with the mounting fixture, vibration or shock table at the point where the specimen is normally fastened in service. NOTE - If a part of the real mounting structure is used as the fixture, the fixing points are taken as those of the mounting structure

    48、 and not of the specimen. 5.7 measuring points: Specific points at which data is gathered for the conduct of the test. These points are of two main types as defined below. NOTE - Measurements may be made at points within the specimen in order to assess its behaviour; these are not considered as meas

    49、uring points. 5.7.1 checkpoint: Point located on the fixture, on the vibration or shock table or on the specimen as close as possible to one of its fixing points and in any case rigidly connected to it. 5.7.2 reference point: Point chosen from the checkpoints, whose signal is used to control the test so that the requirements of the standard are satisfied. 5.8 preferred testing axes: Three orthogonal axes which correspond to the most vulnerable axes of the specimen. 5.9 sine beat: Continuous sinusoidal wave of one frequency that is modulated b
