It supersedes BS EN 14035-1:2003 which has been declared obsolescent.NOTE Together with BS EN 14035
3、-2:2003, BS EN 14035-1:2003 superseded BS 7114-1:1988, which has been declared obsolescent. None of these three standards have been withdrawn because under the provisions of The Pyrotechnic Articles (Safety) Regulations 2010 it is lawful to supply fireworks that comply with the previous regulations,
4、 The Fireworks (Safety) Regulations 1997, until 3 July 2017. The three parts of BS 7114 are cited in The Fireworks (Safety) Regulations 1997, which also allow the supply of fireworks that conform to a standard that provides at least an equivalent level of safety (which could include parts of the BS
5、EN 14035 series).BSI, as a member of CEN, is obliged to publish BS EN 15947-1 as a British Standard. However, attention is drawn to the fact that the UK committee voted against its approval as a standard in CEN. The UK committee submitted a negative vote because the definition given in 3.31 (project
6、ed debris) is not drafted in accordance with D.1.5.3 of the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, part 3. In addition, the UK committee is of the opinion that the definitions given in 3.20 and 3.31 are unnecessary.The UK participation in its preparation was entrusted to Technical Committee CII/47, Pyrot
