This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by November 2005, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by November 2005.     16、N 14454:2005 (E) 4 Introduction In respect of potential adverse effects on the quality of water intended for human consumption, caused by the product covered by this document: a) this document provides no information as to whether the product may be used without restriction in any of the Member Stat

    17、es of the EU or EFTA; b) it should be noted that, while awaiting the adoption of verifiable European criteria, existing national regu-lations concerning the use and/or the characteristics of this product remain in force.     18、) requirements for hose union backflow preventer; c) dimensional and the physico-chemical properties and the properties of general hydraulic, mechanical and acoustic design of hose union backflow preventers DN 15 to DN 32; d) test method and requirements for verifying these properties; e) marking an

    26、efinitions For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in EN 1717:2000, EN 806-1:2000 and the following apply. hose union backflow preventer two pressure zones separated by a check valve. The check valve is closed at zero flow and the air inlets are open. Normal operation flow

For the purpose of this document “hose union backflow preventer(s) HA“ is (are) hereafter referred to as “de-vice(s)“ 4 Nominal size The nominal size of device (DN) shall correspond to the denomination of the thread according in Table 1. For specificat

    29、eventer, EN 14454, family H, type A, DN 20, gun metal, EN 14454:2005 (E) 7 6 Marking and technical documents 6.1 General In countries where the use of products made of dezincification resistant materials is not required, the dezincification resistant products according to EN ISO 6509, as well as the

    30、 products which do not contain zinc, may be marked “DR“. In countries where the use of dezincification resistant materials is required, the dezincification resistant products, as well as the products which do not contain zinc, shall be marked “DR“. 6.2 Marking The devices shall be marked permanently

    31、 and visibly on the body or on a fixed data plate. This information shall be on the outside of the device. The indications shall be indelible and obtained by moulding, engraving or similar procedures. The marking shall indicate: a) name, manufacturers brand or logo; b) arrow indicating normal direct

    32、ion of flow; c) nominal size (DN); d) acoustic group; e) letters indicating family and type of device; Marking a), b), c), and e) are obligatory. In case there is no marking for d), the device shall be considered as not classified acoustically. 6.3 Technical documents Each package and/or each batch

    33、and/or each catalogue of the supplier/manufacturer shall contain technical product information which shall be written in a commonly spoken language of the country in which the product is sold. It shall provide the following information: a) designation and purpose of the product; b) installation inst

    34、ructions; c) minimum installation height; d) (brand) name and address of supplier / manufacturer; e) instructions for maintenance, if any; f) spare part list, if any.     37、alve (2) and then valve (1); c) Open valve (1) in time intervals 10 s and in steps of 0,02 MPa (0,2 bar) until a flow pressure of 0,1 MPa (1 bar) is reached; d) Observe the transparent tube (5) for air bubbles during the test. 10.4.2.2 Requirements a) No air bubbles in the transparent tube (5); b) N

    38、o water leaking from the air inlets of test specimen. EN 14454:2005 (E) 13 10.4.3 Tightness test of the obturator (static test) 10.4.3.1 Procedure See Figure 3. a) Purge the test rig opening valves (1) and (2); b) Close valve (2) and then valve (1); c) If the transparent tube did not empty completel

    39、y within 1 min, open valve (2) very slowly. Close valve (2) as soon as the water column in tube (5) begins to drop; d) Wait for 1 min; e) Open valve (2) slowly; f) Observe, if water leaks out of valve (2). 10.4.3.2 Requirement No water leaking from valve (2) (backflow prevention).     41、rate/pressure loss test equipment 10.5.1.2 Procedure See Figure 4.1. Record the flow rate / pressure loss of the device over the full range from 0 to the flow rate given in Table 2. Verify if the value obtained corresponds to the requirement. NOTE If necessary the pressure loss in the piping length

    42、between the test specimen and the pressure tap should be accounted for. EN 14454:2005 (E) 15 During the whole test, verify the leak tightness of the test specimen. 10.5.1.3 Requirements Any leakage shall be considered failure. The flow rate at the pressure loss of 0,05 MPa (0,5 bar) shall not be les

Record the flow rate/pressure loss of the device under test over the full range from 0 to the flow rate given in Table 2. Verify if the value obtained corresp

    45、onds to the requirement. NOTE If necessary the pressure loss in the piping length between the device under test and the pressure taps should be accounted for. During the whole test, verify the leak tightness at the normal water inlet of the device under test. 10.5.2.3 Requirements Flow rates: see Ta

    46、ble 2.     48、ied EN 14454:2005 (E) 17 10.6.2 Procedure The purpose of this test is to verify the performance of the non-return function of the device under a back-pressure from the hose due to a pressure drop in the supply line. See Figure 5. Install the device according to the manufacturers instructions and pur

    49、ge the test rig. Build up a water column of approximately 20 mm in the sight tube and close (1) c). a) Close valve (7) while water is flowing. b) Raise the pressure (6) to 1 MPa 0,1 MPa (10 bar 1 bar) and change valve (1) to a fully closed position (d). c) Wait 2 min. d) Verify the pressure. e) Verify the tightness of the air inlets. f) In case the pressure has dropped to less than 0,9 MPa (9 bar) within these 2 min, increase the pressure to 1 MPa (10 bar) and start again. Only one correction is permitted
