21、crimping on tin or silver plated copper conductors and nickel plated in-line splices for crimping on nickel plated copper conductors. They may be used at temperatures up to 150 C maximum. 27、aterials 4.2.1 Insulating sleeve The outer insulating and sealing sleeve shall be radiation cross-linked polyvinylidene fluoride with meltable sealing rings of uncrosslinked polyolefin compound at each end. 4.2.2 Crimp barrel The crimp barrel shall be copper alloy ASTM B 75. 4.2.3 Plating of crimp b
28、arrel The plating of the crimp barrel shall be tin in accordance with ASTM B 545 or nickel as per QQ-N-290A. 4.3 Dimensions and mass For dimensions and mass, see Figure 1 and Tables 1 and 2. 32、e 65 C. Dielectric withstand voltage, 2 500 volts D.C. for 1 min. The leakage current shall be less than 2 mA. EN 3373-012:20057 7 Quality assurance Quality assurance shall be in accordance with EN 3373-001. 8 Details of assembly tooling 8.1 Crimping tools Crimping tools shall conform to the requirements
34、 of MIL-DTL-22520/37. 8.2 Heating devices Hot air heating devices shall be fitted with reflectors to concentrate the heat and protect adjacent materials from damage and shall produce an air temperature of 280 C to 340 C in the active zone of the reflector. For heating in areas where there may be a h
35、azard due to the presence of flammable vapours only heaters specially designed and approved for use in such areas shall be used. 9 Marking The item code as per Table 1 shall be indicated by a coloured band or coloured bands on the crimp barrel as shown in Figure 1. 10 Packaging The packaging is to b
36、e marked with the EN designation, manufacturers name, part number, the quantity in the package and the date of manufacturer and batch number.
