    34、fthetestspecimen 7.1.1Dimensions Thediameterofthecentralpartofthespecimenshallbemeasuredwithanaccuracyof0,5%. 7.1.2Mass Thespecimenshallbeweighedtoanaccuracyof 0,25%.Thisshallbecomparedtothemassatthetimeof manufacturetoensurethatduringcuring,evaporationhasnotresultedinalossofmassgreaterthan2%.Ifthe

    35、lossisgreaterthan2%,thisshallberecordedandtheresultingtensilestrengthvaluemaybediscardedsinceit maybeunrepresentative. 7.1.3Steel cap bonding Beforebonding(e.g.byanepoxyresin),thesurfaceofthespecimenandcapsshallbeclean.Atbonding,theaxes ofthespecimenandofthetwocapsshallbealignedtowithin1mm. NOTE Asy

Careshallbetakentoavoidlossofwaterbetweenbondingandtensilestrengthdetermination(e.g.bywrapping thespecimeninathinpolyethylenefilmorawetcloth). 7.2 Positioningthespecimenandloading Thespecimenshallbeplacedinthetestingmachine. Adjustthetesting

    37、machinetoachievecontactandapplytheloadinacontinuousanduniformmannerwithout shocktoobtainauniformincreaseinstressof(0,010 0,005)MPapersecond. 7.3 Datarecording Themaximumforceatfailureshallberecorded. Failureofthespecimenoutsidethecentralpartofthespecimenshallbestatedinthetestreport. 8 Expressionofre
