    7、 operating and environmental conditions applicable to a bogey electron tube of a specified type as defined by its published data, and should not be exceeded under normal conditions. The tube manufacturer chooses these values to provide acceptable serviceability of the tube in average applications, m

    8、aking allowance for normal changes in operating conditions due to rated supply-voltage variation, equipment component variation, equipment control adjustment, load variation, signal variation, environmental conditions, and variations in the characteristics of the tube under consideration and of all

    9、other electron devices in the equipment. The equipment manufacturer should design so that initially no design-center value for the intended service is exceeded with a bogey tube under normal operating conditions at the stated normal supply voltage. ABSQEUTE-MAXIMUM RATING SYSTEM Absolute-Maximum rat

    10、ings are limiting values of operating and environmental conditions appli- cable to any electron tube of a specified type as defined by its published data, and should not be exceeded under the worst probable conditions. The tube manufacturer chooses these values to provide acceptable serviceability o

    11、f the tube, making no allowance for equipment variations, environmental variations, and the effects of changes in operating conditions due to variations in the characteristics of the tube under consideration and of all other electron devices in the equipment. The equipment manufacturer should design

    12、 so that initially and throughout life no absolute- maximum value for the intended service is exceeded with any tube under the worst probable operat- ing conditions with respect to supply-voltage variation, equipment component Variation, equipment control adjustment, load variation, signal variation

    18、s A, Power Amplifiers, Television UHF Oscillator, Power Rectifiers, and Television Horizontal Deflection Circuits. - APPENDIX Definitions of terms used in this Standard * Rating A ratifig is a value which establishes either a limiting capability or a limiting condition for an electron tube. It is de

    19、termined for specified values of environment and operation and may be stated in afiy suitable terms. Rating System determining and wing ratings. A rating system is an assemblage of principles established to satisfy specified objectives for Bogey Electron Tube A bogey electron tube is a tube of a spe

    20、cified type which has each and every one of its char- acteristics in agreement with the defining published bogey values for the type. Note: For practical purposes a bogey electron tube need have only those bogey characteristics which are directly applicable to the application. characteristic A chara

    21、cteristic is an inherent and measurable property of a tube. Such a property may be electrical, mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, electromagnetic, or nuclear, and can be expressed as a value for stated or recognized conditions. A characteristic may also be a set of related values usually shown in graph

    22、ical form. Component A component b a circuit element other than an electron device. Electron Device An electron device is an electron tube, transistor, or other semiconductor unit. Note: This definition excludes inductors, capadtors, resistors, and similar components. Electron Tube An electron tube

    23、is an electron device in which conduction takes place by electrons moving through a vacuum or gaseous medium within a gas tight envelope. Note: This definition excludes semiconductor devices, inductors, capacitors, resistors, and similar components. 8 These definitions are for information only and are not to be considered as part of the Standard.
