SCOPE 1.1 Scope. This specification cov

The individual item requirements shall be as specified herein and in accordance with the applicable specification sheets. conflict between requirements of this specifica

Unless otherwise specified (see 3.1), case shall be of the following catagories: 3.3.1.1 Category 1. Ruggedized case shall meet the following requirements of MIL-C-4150; 1.2-Type 1, Style

    15、2, class A; 3.2, 3.2.1, 3.2.2, 3.2.2.1, 3.2.3, 3.2.4, 3.3, 3.3.1, 3.4, 3.4.1, 3.4.2, 3.4.3, 3.4.4, 3.5, 3.5.2, 3.5.4, 3.5.5, 3.5.6, 3.5.7, 3.6; 3.7, 3.8, 3.9.2, 3.10, 4.4.2.1, 4.5.2, 4.5.2.1, 4.5.2.2, 4.5.2.3, 4.5.2.4, 4.5.2.5, 4.5.3, 4.5.3.1, 4.5.3.3, 4.5.3.4 and 4.5.3.5. MIL-STD-810; methods 500.1

Environmental case shall meet the following require

    17、ments of 3.3.1.3 Category 3. Nonenvironmental case shall meet the best commercial practice (see 3.1). 3.3.2 Adhesives. Unless otherwise specified (see 3.1), cushioning mate- rial shall be in accordance with PPP-C-1752 or MIL-F-81334. 3.3.4 Dissimilar metals. When dissimilar metals are

    19、employed in intimate contact with each other, suitable protection against electrolytic corrosion shall be provided as specified in requirement 16 of MIL-STD-454. 3.4 Design and construction. Tool kits shall be of the design, construction, and physical dimensions specified (see 3.1). 3.4.1 g. Cases,

    20、metal or fiberglass shall be designed as specified (see 3.1). 3.4.2 Coor. The tool kit colr shall be in accordance with FED-STD-595. 3.4.3 Installing and removal tools. Unless otherwise specified (see 3.1), all installing and removal tools shall be in accordance wizh MIL-i-81969 or approved equivale

    21、nt. specified (see 3.1), all crimping tools, dies,turrets, positioners, and gages shall be in accordance with MIL-C-22520 or approved equivalent. 3.4.4 Crimping tools, dies, turret, positioners, and gages. Unless otherwise 3.4.5 Heat gun, air/nitrogen. Unless otherwise specified (see 3.1), heat gun

    22、air/nitrogen shall be in accordance with MIL-T-83507/6. 3.4.6 Tools, solderless wrap. Unless otherwise specified (see 3.1), solderless wrap tools shall be in accordance with MIL-T-83508 or approved equivalent. 3.5 Case waterproof (fiberglass only) (when specified see 3.1). When the case is tested as

    23、 specified in 4.7.2, there shall be no evidence of water/moisture accumulation inside- the case. 3.6 Humidity (steady state). When the tool kit with contents is tested as specifi- ed in 4.7.3, there shall be no damage to any tools contained in the tool kit (see 3.1). When the tool kit with contents

    24、is tested as specified 3.7 Salt spray (corrosion). in 4.7.4, there shall be no evidence of corrosion that could impair the operation of the tools. 3.8 Shock (specified pulse)(when specified see 3.1). When the tool kit with contents is tested as specified in 4.7.5, there shall be no damage to either

    25、the case or the tools. 3.9 Marking. All marking shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-130 and shall be permanent and legible. 3.9.1 Nameplates. Unless otherwise specified in the contract, the contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements as specified herein. use his own or any other

If an inspection lot is rejected, the contractor may rework it to correct the defects,

    47、or screen out the defective units, and resubmit for reinspection. Resubmitted lots shall be inspected using tightened inspection. Such lots shall be separate from new lots, and shall be clearly identified as reinspected lots. 4.6.1.2.3 Disposition of group A sample. The tool kit which has passed gro

    48、up A inspection may be delivered on the contract if the lot is accepted and the sample unit is still within specified tolerances. 4.6.2 Inspection of packaging. Packaging inspection shall be in accordance with MIL-T-45542. 4.7 Methods of .examination and test. 4.7.1 Visual and mechanical examination

The tool kit and contents shall be exam- ined to verify that the design, construction, physical dimensions, markings, and work- manship are in accordance with applicable requirements (see 3.1, 3.3, 3.4, 3.9, and 3.10). 4.7.2 Case waterproof (fiberglass only) (when specified see S.l)(see 3.5). Fiberglass cases shall be tested in accordance with table III of MILrSTD-108, water- tight enclosure. 4.7.3 Humidity (steady state) (see 3.6). The tool k
