SCOPE. This commercial item description covers the requirements for roc
2、k anchor camming device repair kits, also referred to as spring loaded camming device (SLCD) trigger kits, which are used to repair the trigger wires on SLCDs. 2. CLASSIFICATION. The SLCD repair kit will be furnished to repair all sizes of Anchor, Rock, Camming Device, Type I, as specified in accord
3、ance with A-A-59846. 3. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS. The repair kit shall be two wires in each kit, designed to replace the wires that connect the trigger mechanism to the cam lobe enabling user level repair while meeting the standards in this description. 3.1 Color. The wires shall be provided in a low
4、 reflectance, matte finish and provide low contrast with typical use terrain unless otherwise specified in the solicitation or contract order (see 7.2). 3.2 Materials. 3.2.1 Basic material. Steel. 3.3 Tests. The SLCD, when the repair kit wires are installed, shall meet EN 12276 and the International
5、 Mountaineering and Climbing Federation Union Internationale des Associations dAlpinisme (UIAA) Standard 125. The finished anchor, rock, camming, device, Type I repair kit shall conform to the quality of product established by this document. The occurrence of defects shall not exceed the
8、contractors own quality assurance standards and the quality assurance standards defined in the technical data in the solicitation and/or contract. 3.5 Service life. The anchor, rock, camming, device, Type I repair kit shall have no unexpected material or component failures during a continuous one-ye
9、ar cycle. The Type I repair kit shall have no unexpected material or component failures during periodic use over a five year period. 3.6 Labels/barcoding/instruction slip. If applicable, all labeling, barcoding and instruction slip requirements shall be as specified in the solicitation or contract (
10、see 7.2). 3.6.1 Labels. Each anchor rock camming device repair kit shall have identification label Class 5 conforming to Type VI of MIL-DTL-32075. The color of the label shall be white. The following information shall be included in the printing for the identification label for the anchor rock cammi

The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials to the maximum extent practicable, in accordance with paragraph 23.403 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
12、4.1 Recycled, recovered, or environmentally preferable materials. Recycled, recovered, or environmentally preferable materials should be used to the maximum extent possible, provided that the material meets or exceeds the operational and maintenance requirements and promotes economically advantageou
13、s life cycle costs. 5. PRODUCT CONFORMANCE PROVISIONS. 5.1 Product conformance. The products provided shall meet the salient characteristics of this Commercial Item Description, conform to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices, and be the same product
14、 offered for sale in the commercial marketplace. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance. 5.2 Visual examination.
