The responsible German body involved in its preparation was the Normenausschuss Sport- und Freizeitgert (Sports Equipment Standards Committee), Technical Committee NA 112-01-02 AA Turngerte, Matten und Spielfeldgerte. Once this

    5、 standard has been identified by the Committee for Technical Work Equipment and Consumer Products and published in the Bundesanzeiger (German Federal Gazette), compliance of badminton equipment as in this standard with the relevant health and safety requirements (i.e. as in the GPSG) may be presumed

    6、. The German GS mark (GS stands for Geprfte Sicherheit, meaning safety tested) may then be applied to the badminton equipment under the provisions of 7 of the GPSG. Amendments This standard differs from DIN EN 1509:2004-12 as follows: a) The general safety requirements and test methods have been har

    7、monized with those specified in EN 913, with two exceptions. b) The scope has been extended to include indoor standing as well as indoor wheel chair badminton equipment. c) Inclusion of four different classes for the distinction of badminton equipment for competition or training including wheelchair

    8、 equipment. d) The requirements for posts and nets have been specified in more detail. e) Requirements for the construction of top net lines have been included (see Figure 1). f) A new Clause 6 “Test report” has been added. g) Clause 7 “Instructions for use” and Clause 8 “Marking” have been extended

    18、 other recreational facilities and equipment”, the secretariat of which is held by DIN. This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by May 2009, and conflicting national standards shall be withdr

    19、awn at the latest by May 2009. Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent rights. CEN and/or CENELEC shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights. This document supersedes EN 1509:2004. The principal ch

DIN EN 1509:2009-02 EN 1509:2008 (E) 4 1 Scope This European Standard specifies the

    24、 functional requirements (see Clause 3) and the safety requirements (see Clause 4) for badminton equipment, excluding rackets and shuttlecocks. This European Standard is applicable to three types and four classes for indoor standing as well as for indoor wheel chair badminton equipment for competiti

    25、on and training (see 3.1). Other types and sizes as those described in this European Standard are permissible provided the safety requirements of this European Standard are taken into consideration. 2 Normative references The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of th

    28、hown in Tables 1 and 2.     33、d fixings These may be made of steel, light metal or synthetics, provided the requirements of this European Standard are fulfilled. Light metal shall be non-corrosive and steel protected against corrosion (e. g. hot-galvanized, powder coated or painted). 3.4.2 Net The net shall be made from syntheti

    34、c fibres. 3.4.3 Top net line The top net line shall be made from synthetic cord or cable. 3.5 Design 3.5.1 Posts The construction of the posts shall be such that the top net line can be supported or guided at the heights h1and height h2 of Figure 1 and Table 3 at the centre of the court. The posts s

    35、hall be provided with appropriate fixings for the net. DIN EN 1509:2009-02 EN 1509:2008 (E) 7 In position of use the posts shall not move and remain vertical within 88 (towards inside the court) to 91 (towards outside the court) measured over the total length of the post related to the sports surfac

    36、e. For classes A and B the inner post distance shall be between 6 010 mm and 6 020 mm measured at the top of the post. For classes A and B: The 3 sides of the posts orientated towards the court (2 lateral, parallel to the back lines, and 1 facing the court) must have no protuberance into the court;

    37、Posts should have a dominant colour, excluding vivid, fluorescent or shiny colours; Posts should have a consistent profile size of 40 mm 1 mm diameter or 40 mm 1 mm side square); For adjustable posts (mainly used for Class B equipment), a reduction of 6 mm 1 mm in the profile shall be accepted. This

    38、 reduction shall not be longer than 160 mm + 5 mm and the profile reduction cannot be on the lower part of the post (see Figure 3).     39、ost profiles are allowed provided they do not protrude inside the court line. 3.5.2 Net In position of use the height of the net shall be 760 mm 20 mm at each end and 40 mm in the middle (see Figure 1). The mesh shall be not less than 15 mm and not more than 20 mm. DIN EN 1509:2009-02 EN 1509:2008 (

    40、E) 8 For class A and B the net mesh shall consist of vertical and horizontal mesh and the mesh diagonal shall be between 21 and 29 mm. The mesh breaking force of the net shall be greater than 100 N when tested in line with EN ISO 1806. The top tape, when doubled, shall have a face of 37,5 mm 2 mm an

    41、d shall be white. In position of use the net shall fill the space between the posts for its entire height. The top net line shall be inserted into the top tape. The ends of the top net line shall be designed so that they do not fray and so that they fit the appropriate tensioning and/or fixing devic

    42、es. The end of the top net line shall be prevented from disappearing in the net band. The opening between the net on lateral side and the post shall not be greater than 10 mm. The net mesh shall be of dark colour. 3.5.3 Top net line The breaking resistance of the cord or cable must be greater than 2

    43、0 daN. 3.5.4 Ground sockets All ground sockets shall be protected against corrosion. 4 Safety requirements 4.1 General General safety requirements except stability and strength shall comply with EN 913, if not otherwise specified in this European Standard. 4.2 Tensioning devices In position of use t

    44、he tensioning devices (if any) shall be designed in such a way that they cannot start without control. They shall not be directed toward the court and they shall be designed so as to induce no risk to the players. 4.3 Other fixings Other fixings (if any) shall not be directed towards the court and t

    45、hey shall be designed so as to induce no risk to the players. 5 Test methods Requirements of Clause 3 for which no particular tests are indicated in the following shall be appropriately verified, e. g. by measurement, visual inspection, tactile or functional testing. Testing of the breaking forces o

    46、f net yarn shall be done according to EN ISO 1806. Testing of the top net line and mesh shall be done according to EN ISO 2307. Testing of the tensioning devices and other fixings shall be made by visual inspection in position of use. DIN EN 1509:2009-02 EN 1509:2008 (E) 9 6 Test report The test rep

    47、ort should include at least the following elements: a) date and name of person having done the test; b) reference to this standard EN 1509; c) description of test conditions (temperature etc.); d) description of equipment undergoing the test; e) description of the state of the equipment, including a

    48、ll anomalies observed before the start of the tests; f) description of any change in the equipment observed after the tests; g) results of the tests. 7 Instructions for use Each badminton equipment shall be accompanied by instructions for use including at least the following: a) designation of equip

    49、ment; b) installation details; c) assembly covering method of adjustment and tensioning device; d) correct fastening of the net; e) maintenance details. 8 Marking Badminton equipment complying with this document shall be marked with the following information: a) number of this document EN 15091)and the class of the equipment; b) name, trademark or other means of identification of manufacturer, retailer or importer and the year of manufacture. 1)Marking EN 1509 on or in relation to a product represents a manufacturer
