National foreword This document (EN 12966:2014) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 226 “Road equipment” (Secretariat: AFNOR, France). The responsible German body involved in its preparation was the DIN-Normenausschuss Bauwesen (DIN Standar

    8、ds Committee Building and Civil Engineering), Working Committee NA 005-10-28 AA Wechselverkehrszeichen (Spiegelausschuss zu CEN/TC 226/WG 11). The contents of the standards series have been combined into one standard. The DIN Standard corresponding to the International Standard referred to in this d

    9、ocument is as follows: ISO 7000 DIN ISO 7000 Amendments This standard differs from DIN EN 12966-1:2010-03, DIN EN 12966-2:2005-07 and DIN EN 12966-3:2005-07 as follows: a) the new structure of the standard has been adapted to the structure proposed by CEN BT for harmonized standards: 1) the contents

    10、 of Clauses 4 to 8 of the previous edition have been moved to Clause 4 “Product characteristics”, Subclauses 4.1 to 4.6; 2) the contents of Clause 9 of the previous edition have been moved to Clause 5 “Testing, assessment and sampling methods”; 3) the contents of EN 12966-2:2005 and EN 12966-3:2005

    11、have been moved to Clause 6 “Assessment and verification of constancy of performance (AVCP)”, and revised in accordance with the requirements of the CPR; 4) the contents of Clause 10 of the previous edition have been moved to Clause 7 “Classification and designation”; DIN EN 12966:2015-03 3 5) the c

    12、ontents of Clause 11 of the previous edition have been moved to Clause 8 “Marking, labelling and packaging”; 6) the contents of Clause 12 of the previous edition are now included in Clause 6 “Assessment and verification of constancy of performance (AVCP)”; 7) the contents of Clause 13 of the previou

    13、s edition are now included in Subclause 4.6 “Dangerous substances”; 8) informative Annex B of the previous edition has been renamed informative Annex L; 9) informative Annex C of the previous edition has been renamed informative Annex M “Guidance on graphics for discontinuous light emitting signs”,

    14、information and figures have been added for better understanding; 10) informative Annex D of the previous edition has been renamed informative Annex N “Guidance on dimensions, luminance, beam width, legibility and efficiency for discontinuous VMS”, information and figures have been added for better

    15、understanding; 11) informative Annex E of the previous edition has been renamed informative Annex O “Specific design issues”; 12) informative Annex F of the previous edition has been renamed informative Annex P “Guidance for design of VMS messages”; 13) a new normative Annex B “VMS performance decla

    16、ration codes for marking” has been added; 14) a new informative Annex Q “Technical documentation” has been added; 15) a new informative Annex R “Example of recommended summary of class combinations” has been added; b) visual performance requirements of continuous VMS (Subclause 4.3) and discontinuou

    17、s VMS (Subclause 4.4) have been updated, test methods have been simplified (Subclause 5.5); c) physical performance requirements have been updated (Subclause 4.5), test methods have been adjusted accordingly (Subclause 5.4); d) the informative Annex ZA has been revised in accordance with the require
