Dimensions in mm 1 Scope and field of application Chain wheels as covered in this standard are used for power transmission by roller chains as specified in DIN 8187 in chain drives as specified in DIN 8195. They have a tooth form as specified in DIN

    3、8196 Part 1; the teeth may be produced using hobs profiled as specified in DIN 8197 or with profiling cutters as specified in DIN 8198 (at present under revision). The chain wheel diameter has been specified so as to yield a non-pointed tooth form. For the time being, only the preferred numbers of t

    4、eeth already specified in DIN 8195 have been adopted. 2 Dimensions and designation Chain wheels are not expected to conform to the designs illustrated here; compliance is only required, as far as necessary, in the case of the dimensions specified.
