Amendments The following amendments have been made to DIN 488-4:1986-06: a) All information on welded fabric has been deleted (refer now to DIN 488-4). b) Ribbed reinforcing steel coils made of steel grades B500A (1.0438) and B

    8、500B (1.0439) have been included. c) Plain reinforcing wire BSt 500 G (1.0464) and indented wire BSt 500 P (1.0465) have been replaced by B500A+G (1.0438+G) and B500A+P (1.0438+P). d) The standard has been editorially revised.     9、 This standard applies to ribbed reinforcing steel coils of steel grades B500A (1.0438) and B500B (1.0439) according to DIN 488-1 and to plain and indented reinforcing wire of steel grade B500A (1.0438) according to DIN 488-1 with the nominal diameters given in Table 2. 2 Normative references The fo

    18、0 6 Steel grade classification and product forms 6.1 This standard covers steel grades B500A (1.0438) and B500B (1.0439). The difference between these two steel grades is in the ductility property specifications (see DIN 488-1:2009-08, Table 2). 6.2 The two steel grades are delivered as ribbed reinf

    19、orcing steel coils. Steel grade B500A (1.0438) is also delivered as reinforcing wire with a plain (+G) or indented (+P) surface in the form of coils and bars. 6.3 The inside diameter, outside diameter and mass of the coils may be agreed between the manufacturer and the customer. 5 DIN 488-3:2009-08

    24、pecific properties apply to machine-straightened reinforcing steel coils. 7.3.2 Properties determined in the tensile test See DIN 488-1:2009-08, Table 2; ribbed steel: columns 2 and 3, reinforcing wire: columns 4 and 5. 7.3.3 Properties determined in the fatigue test 7.3.3.1 For ribbed reinforcing s

    25、teel, see DIN 488-1:2009-08, Table 2. 7.3.3.2 For reinforcing wire, there are no fatigue strength requirements. 7.3.4 Bend performance To demonstrate the bend performance, the rebend test shall be carried out according to DIN EN ISO 15630-1. Bend the test pieces through an angle of at least 90 aroun

    26、d a mandrel with a diameter D as specified in Table 3, age the test pieces (see DIN 488-6:2009-08, Table 21) and rebend them after cooling in still air to room temperature of at least 20 C. After the test, the test piece shall show no sign of fracture or cracks visible to a person of normal or corre

    27、cted vision.     28、el with ribbed surface 7.3.7.1.1 General B500A (1.0438) ribbed reinforcing steel coils shall have three rows of transverse ribs (see Figure 1). 7 DIN 488-3:2009-08 7.3.7.1.2 Transverse ribs 7.3.7.1.2.1 The transverse ribs shall be crescent-shaped in their longitudinal section. The ends of the ribs s

    29、hall always taper off into the surface of the product. 7.3.7.1.2.2 Transverse rib flanks shall be inclined at more than 40 (flank inclination ) and the transition from the rib to the core shall be radiused (see Figure 5 a). 7.3.7.1.2.3 The angle of inclination of the transverse rib () shall be 40 to

    30、 70. For rib rows with alternating angles of inclination, these may be 35 to 75. 7.3.7.1.2.4 The dimensions and spacing of the transverse ribs shall be as shown in Table 4. 7.3.7.1.2.5 The sum of the spacing of the rib rows, e, shall not exceed 25 % of the circumference. 7.3.7.1.3 Relative rib area

    31、The values given in Table 4 for the relative rib area fRare 5 % quantiles relating to machine-straightened material. According to DIN 488-6:2009-08, 5.2.3.2, with unstraightened coil material, a tolerance of +15 % shall be maintained. The dimensions in Table 4 apply to machine-straightened material.

    36、ee rows of indentations are rolled into the surface distributed as uniformly as possible over the circumference and length (see Figure 2).     39、500A+G (1.0438+G) plain reinforcing wire is manufactured with a plain surface as obtained in the drawing die. 7.3.7.4 B500B (1.0439) reinforcing steel 7.3.7.4.1 General Reinforcing steel coils of steel grade B500B (1.0439) with a ribbed surface shall have two or four rows of transverse ribs (see Fig
