    42、e1.1This Standard specifies performance requirements and test methods for face protectors marketed, sold,and intended for ice hockey.1.2The intent of this Standard is to reduce the risk of injury to the face and eyes without compromising theform, appeal, or visual demands of the game. This reduction

    43、 of risk is based on the use of the faceprotectora) as intended within the rules of the game; andb) in accordance with the manufacturers instructions.Note: Ice hockey is a sport in which hazards are intrinsic to the normal conduct of the game. Participation in icehockey implies the acceptance of som

    44、e risk of injury. Use of a face protector meeting the requirements of thisStandard will not prevent all injuries.1.3This Standard specifies requirements for the following items as they related to face protectors for use inice hockey:a) construction;b) puck impact resistance;c) penetration;d) field o
