    28、.Note: For details not covered herein, reference should be made to CSA C2.1.1.2This Standard applies only to single-phase distribution transformer units intended for use in a ventilated vault or enclosure below grade level, with all terminations and accessories cover mounted, or nearly so, for opera

    29、tion above grade. It does not apply to(a) directly buried transformers in contact with the earth;(b) permanently submerged transformers; or(c) network-type transformers.1.3The transformers covered by this Standard are intended only for operation by electrical utilities on effectively grounded underg

    30、round distribution systems having primary voltages up to and including 16.0/27.6 kV grounded Y.Note: The operation of transformers complying with this Standard by other than an electric utility may be subject to additional requirements by the electrical inspection authority having jurisdiction.1.4Th

    31、e equipment covered by this Standard typically has dual high-voltage bushings designed for circuit loop feed within the transformer tank. High-voltage fuse protection normally connected between this internal loop feed element and the transformer high-voltage winding is not covered by this Standard a

    32、nd specified by the purchaser.1.5In CSA Standards, “shall” is used to express a requirement, i.e., a provision that the user is obliged to satisfy in order to comply with the standard; “should” is used to express a recommendation or that which is advised but not required; “may” is used to express an

    37、nsThe following definitions apply in this Standard:Effectively grounded under line-to-ground fault conditions, the rms voltage-to-ground of the ungrounded phase cannot exceed 80% of the normal phase-to-phase voltage.Submersible transformer a transformer intended to operate for its design life instal

    38、led in a vault and subjected to occasional total submersion and frequent wetting due to seepage of sewage and street orsalt water.3 Electrical features3.1 General3.1.1Each transformer shall comply with the electrical requirements of CSA C2.1, except as specified in this Standard.3.1.2The high-voltag

    39、e winding shall be insulated for use on effectively grounded systems only, with H2 connected internally to the tank or cover at the location of one external grounding boss (marked H2).3.1.3The low-voltage winding shall normally be 240/120 V and shall not be reconnectable externally for 120 V. Other

    40、secondary voltages in accordance with CSA C2.1, 1.2 kV class may be provided when specified by the purchaser.3.1.4The rated kV A capacities at rated voltage shall be 25, 50, 75, 100, 167, 250, or 333.     41、ilovolt-ampere ratings are continuous and based on the winding temperature rise not exceeding 55 C average and 70 C hottest-spot. The temperature rise of the insulating oil shall not exceed 55 C, when measured near the top of the tank.3.1.6The transformers shall have a 65 C temperature rise insulati

    42、on system.3.2 Voltage designation3.2.1Voltage designations of the form E1GrdY/E (e.g., 12 470 GrdY/7 200) indicate that the high-voltage winding is wound for E volts with reduced insulation at the neutral end for grounding.3.2.2The voltage designation 240/120 indicates that the winding is for 240 V

    43、with full kV A between X1 and X3 or for 120 V with one-half kV A from X2 to either X1 or X3.3.3 Voltage and basic impulse insulation levels (BIL)3.3.1Preferred high-voltage ratings and the required BIL for transformers are shown in Table 1.3.3.2The normal low-voltage rating is 240/120 V with an insu

    44、lation class of 1.2 kV. The required BIL is 30 kV.4 Mechanical features4.1 General4.1.1All switch and fuse hardware, accessories, nameplates, and other fixtures exposed to the underground environment shall be corrosion-resistant.4.1.2The tank shall have a steel base welded thereto. The base shall su

    45、pport the tank at a minimum distanceof 38 mm above the floor.4.1.3When external cooling devices are used, fixed mechanical protection shall be provided at the base of the transformer to prevent damage to the cooling devices when lowering the transformer into the vault.4.1.4Dimensional constraints ar

    46、e as specified by the purchaser.C301.1-06 Canadian Standards Association4 March 20064.2 Sealed construction4.2.1The complete transformer assembly shall be of sealed construction and shall remain effectively sealed for a top oil temperature range of 40 to 105 C.4.2.2Provision shall be made on all uni

    47、ts for the manual release of gas pressures, before servicing, by means of a valve or plug.4.3 Lifting lugsLifting lugs shall be provided.4.4 TanksTanks for transformers up to and including 100 kV A shall not have external cooling devices. External tank walls shall be smooth to minimize corrosion and

    48、 to reduce the possibility of damage to the protective coating.4.5 HandholeIf a welded cover is supplied, a handhole shall be provided for tap changing or inspection purposes. The handhole shall be of adequate size and located in the cover.5 Bushings, terminals, and grounding5.1 Bushings and termina

    49、ls5.1.1Each transformer shall be supplied with terminals and an accessory parking stand located as shown in Figure 1. The accessory parking stand shall be for load-break accessories unless otherwise specified.5.1.2Two high-voltage bushing wells shall be provided for connection to the distribution system through separable insulated connectors. The bushing wells shall be in accordance with IEEE 386. The minimum current-carrying capability of components for the looped primary cable system shall be 200 A continuous and 3500 A symmetrical (3 s).5.1.3The H2
