    19、 diameter and length and configuration for use with potable water, and to their components and materials supplied by the manufacturer, their assembly and installation instructions, and their operation after assembly in accordance with these instructions. This Standard does not apply to site preparat

    20、ion or installation procedures.1.3This Standard is not intended as a design specification or as an instruction manual for untrained persons.1.4In this Standard, “shall” is used to express a requirement, i.e., a provision that the user is obliged to satisfy in order to comply with the standard; “shou

    26、gned to transfer heat from drain water to potable water.Note: “Double-wall” implies having two distinct tubes separating the drain water from the potable water.4 Classification of drain water heat recovery unitsDWHR units shall have two distinct walls separating the drain water from the potable wate

    27、r and be deemed acceptable for potable water service complete with a visible means of leak detection.5Materials5.1 Manufacturing materials5.1.1Materials in contact with drain water shall be a minimum thickness of Type DWV copper tube, conforming to ASTM B306.5.1.2Materials in contact with potable wa

    28、ter shall be a minimum thickness of Type L copper tube, conforming to ASTM B88. Non-tube copper components in contact with potable water shall have a minimum thickness of 1.7 mm and shall be Copper No. C12000 or C12200.5.1.3Standard fittings used in the manufacturing of DWHR units shall comply with

    29、ASME B16.22 or ASME B16.18.5.1.4Connections between the coiled water supply tubes and a fabricated manifold shall be brazed using a filler metal with a melting point in the range of 590 to 815 C. Brazing alloys shall conform to the ANSI/AWS A5.8/A5.8M, BCuP range.5.2 Installation materials5.2.1DWHR

    30、units shall have drainage connections compatible with industry standard cast iron, copper, and plastic pipe used in drainage systems for which the unit is designed.5.2.2DWHR units shall have water connections compatible with industry standards for copper and PEX. 2012 CSA Group Drain water heat reco

    31、very unitsJuly 2012 36 Pressure testing Minimum burst pressureThe heat transfer fluid or potable water section of a sample DWHR unit shall pass without leakage a hydrostatic test at 1.5 times the manufacturers design pressure or not less than 1550 kPa (225 psi), whichever is greater, for a duration

    32、of 15 min.7 Marking and labelling7.1 GeneralMarking and labelling requirements not otherwise specified in this Standard should be of such a nature and be located to satisfactorily serve the needs of the system owner.Note: Marking and labelling should meet the requirements of the applicable authoriti
