    3、Services. CGSB is engaged in the production of voluntary standards in a wide range of subject areas through the media of standards committees and the consensus process. The standards committees are composed of representatives of relevant interests including producers, consun:-rs and other users, ret

    4、ailers, governments, educational institutions, technical, professional and trade societies, and research and testing organizations. Any given standard is developed on the consensus of views expressed by such representatives. The Ministers Advisory Council on CGSB reviews the results of the consensus

    5、 process. CGSB has been accredited by the Standards Council of Canada as a national standards-writing organization. The standards that it develops and offers as National Standards of Canada conform to the criteria and procedures established for this purpose by the Standards Council of Canada. In add

    6、ition to standards it publishes as national standards, CGSB produces standards to meet particular needs, in response to requests from a variety of sources in both the public and private sectors. Both CGSB standards and national standards developed by CGSB are developed in conformance with the polici

    7、es described in the Policy Manual for the Development and Maintenance of Standards by CGSB. CGSB standards are subject to review and revision at any time, so as to ensure that they keep abreast of technological progress. Suggestions for their improvement, which are always welcome, should be brought

    8、to the notice of the standards committees concerned. Changes to standards are issued either as separate amendment sheets or in new editions of standards.     30、lectrostatic duplicating paper for use in dry toner, plain paper, photocopiers and small duplicating offset presses. For more detailed information on intended uses, see par. 8.2. The testing and evaluation of a product against this standard may require the use of materiais and/or equipment that coul

Surface Condition - The paper surface shall be free from blemishes,

    37、 dust, lint and other particles that may adversely affect its end use. TNn Sheets - The paper may be trimmed or precision cut and shall hav

    38、e clean smooth edges. The sides shall be free from significant fuzzing. Individual sheets shall not stick together for reasons of burred edges or other causes. Individual sheets shall differ no more than 1 .O mm in their jogged position. Roa - The ends of the rolls shall be clean and even, and shall

    39、 be free from excessive dust. Stock - The paper stock shall normally be free from more than trace amounts (less than 1%) of unbleached or mechanical pulps except that no limitation is imposed on the amount of deinked or non-deinked bleached secondary (recycled) fibre, nor on the amount of high-yield

    40、 pulps, present in the stock. Fluorescent (optical) brighteners may be present. Moisture Content - Unless otherwise specified (par. 8.1), the moisture content of the paper, at time of delivery, shall be such that the paper will be in equilibrium with a room atmosphere having a relative humidity of 4

    41、.5 f 0.8%. Winding - No splices shall be present in any roll. The paper shall be wound on a core with an inside diameter of 75 mm, or as specified by purchasers (par. 8.1). DETAILED REQUIREMENTS Physical Dimensions Sheets - The paper shall be supplied in sheet sizes specified (par. 8.1), with a leng

    42、th and width tolerance of 11.0 mm. Successive sheets within any package shall not differ more than 1.0 mm in length or width. Sheets shall be square on all four sides with a tolerance of 0.5 mm in either total length or total width. The opposite sides and edges shall be parallel within 0.5 mm. Roh -

    43、 The paper shall be supplied in rolls as specified (par. 3.1). Each roll shall contain a minimum of 175 m. Roll width shall be as specified with a maximum variation of 1.0 mm. Roll diameter shall be 18 cm maximum. Grammage - The paper shall be supplied in the grammage specified in Table 1 with a tol

    44、erance of 35% as determined in accordance with CAN/CGSB-9.1 No. 7. Thickness - The paper shall conform to the average thickness listed in Table 1, with a tolerance of kO.006 mm for both Xerographic Copy and Electrostatic Duplicating. The difference in average thickness between sheets shall not excee

    45、d 0.005 mm and individual sheets shall be uniform in thickness within 0.005 mm. Grain Direction - When determined in accordance with Technical Section, CPPA standard D.l, the grain direction shall be as specified (par. 8.1). Physical and Optical Properties - Physical and optical properties shall be

    46、in accordance with the requirements of Table 1 when tested according to the specified method. The method for surface resistivity is outlined in par. 7.2.1. Colour - The paper shall be white or coloured, as specified (par. 8.1). PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY Packaging Sheet - Unless otherwise specified (p

    47、ar. 8. i), each package shall contain 500 sheets. Packages shall be placed in a carton designed so that the carton is filled to capacity. The wrapping shall not contaminate the copy paper or cause the edges of the paper to tend to stick together.
