    2、itted without license from IHS-,-,- CGSB CAN/CGSB- 4.69- The CANADIAN GENERAL STANDARDS BOARD (CGSB), under whose auspices this standard has been developed is a government agency within the Federal Department of Supply and Services. CGSB is engaged in the production of voluntary standards in a wide

    3、range of subject areas through the media of standards committees and the consensus process. The standards committees are composed of representatives of relevant interests including producers, consumers and other users, retailers, governments, educational institutions, technical, professional and tra

    4、de societies, and research and testing organizations. Any given standard is developed on the consensus of views expressed by such representatives. The Ministers Advisory Council on CGSB reviews the results of the consensus process. CGSB has been accredited by the Standards Council of Canada as a nat

    5、ional standards-writing organization. The standards that it develops and offers as National Standards of Canada conform to the criteria and procedures established for this purpose by the Standards Council of Canada. In addition to standards it publishes as national standards, CGSB produces standards

    6、 to meet particular needs, in response to requests from a variety of sources in both the public and private sectors. Both CGSB standards and national standards developed by CGSB are developed in conformance with the policies described in the Policy Manual for the Development and Maintenance of Stand

    7、ards by CGSB. CGSB standards are subject to review and revision at any time, so as to ensure that they keep abreast of technological progress. Suggestions for their improvement, which are always welcome, should be brought to the notice of the standards committees concerned. Changes to standards are

    8、issued either as separate amendment sheets or in new editions of standards. An up-to-date listing of CGSB standards, including details on latest issues and amendments, and ordering instructions, will be found in the CGSB Catalogue, which is published annually and is available without charge upon req

    9、uest. Although the intended primary application of this standard is stated in its Scope, it is important to note that it remains the responsibility of the users of the standard to judge its suitability for their particular purpose. Many tests required by CGSB standards are inherently hazardous. CGSB

It states the requirements for cotton and cottodplyester commercial and utiiity/institutional washcloths. The testing and evaluation of a

    27、product against this standard may require the use of materials andor equipment that could be hazardous. This document does not purport to address all the safety aspects associated with its use. Anyone using this standard has the responsibility to consult the appropriate authorities and to establish

CLASSIFICATION 3.1 The washcloths shall be supplied in the following classes and types, as specified (par. 8.1): 3.1.1 Classes Class A - Commercial Class B - Utility/institutional. 3.1.2 Types O Type 1 - Cotton Type 2 - Cotto

    34、AL REQUIREMENTS The washcloths covered by this standard shall be fk from imperfections and blemishes that may adversely affect their appearance or serviceability. DETAILED REQUIREMENTS Materiais , YarnS a. Pile Warp - The pile warp yams shall be singles, 100% cotton. b. Ground Warp - The ground warp

    35、 yams shall be singles or 2-ply carded cotton yams, or single yams spun from a blend of polyester and cotton fibres. When tested in accordance with CANKGSB4.2 No. 14.3, the polyester content shall not exctcd 65%. c. Weft - The weft yams shall be single carded cotton yams or single yarns spun from a

    36、blend of polyester and cotton fibres. When tested in accordance with CANKGSB-4.2 No. 14.3, the polyester content shall not exceed 65%. Overedging - The yams used for overedging or serging shall be of a warp yam type with a resultant linear density of 40 to 50 tex. The colour shall match the washclot

    37、h. Construction Weave - The weave shall be a 3-pick terry. The ratio of feed of the piie warp to the ground warp shall not be less than4tol. Noe: A ratio of 3.5 to 1 is acceptable for Class B crested washcloths. Overedging - The edges of the washcloths shall be serged or overedged with not less than

    38、 four stitches per e centimetre. Design - The design (cross stripes, pile-free areas, coloured areas, woven identifications, etc.) shall be as agreed between the purchaser and the supplier as specified (par. 8.1). Colour - The colour of the washcloths shall be as specified (par. 8.1). When required

    39、to be white, Type 1 washcloths shall be given a full commercial bleach and shall meet the requirements for cuprammonium fluidity specified in Tables 1 and 2. Sizes - The finished dimensions shall be 30 x 30 cm f 3%. Fabric - When tested in accordance with the specified test methods, the fabric shall

    40、 comply with the requirements of Tables 1 and 2. Marking - The marking of washcloths other than the design marking indicated in par. 5.3 shall be as specified (par. 8.1). PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY Packaging and Labelling - Unless otherwise specified (par. 8.1), normal commercial practice of packaging

    41、 and labelling shall be acceptable. It is the manufacturers responsibility to see that goods are packaged in a suitable manner to be delivered in an undamaged condition. INSPECTION Sampling - Sampling shall be left to the discretion of the purchaser, unless a specific sampling plan is specified (par

    42、. 8.1).
