33、 Colorfastness to Burnt Gas Fumes, except that this method does not include a washing or dry cleaning procedure. PURPOSEANDSCOPE This method assesses the resistance of the colour of textiles of all kinds and in all forms, except loose fibre, when exposed to atmospheric oxides of nitrogen as derived

34、from the combustion of gases such as natural gas, manufactured gas or butane (C.P.) gas. The method may be used to rate the colaurfastness of dyes by applying the dye to textiles by a specified procedure and at a specified depth of colour, and testing the dyed textiles. This method may require the u

PRINCIPLE A specimen of the textile and control fabric are exposed simultaneously to combustion gases containing oxides of nitrogen derived from a gas until the control shows a colour change corresponding to that of the St
